If you've heard all the hype about AirPlay and are missing out because you don't have an AppleTV, this app is for you! ◆◆◆◆◆ HOW TO USE ◆◆◆◆◆ √ Connect your iPod, iPhone or iPad to the same local network as your Xbox, PS3, PS4 or PC. √ Start AirMusic. √ For Xbox 360, navigate to the Xbox System Music Player and select your device from the list. √ For Xbox One, navigate to the Xbox One Media Player under Apps and select your device in the list. √ For PS3, navigate to the PS3 Music Menu and select your device in the list. If it shows nothing underneath, it probably means you selected the Movie or Photo menu instead. √ For PS4, locate the Media Player in the Store. √ When AirMusic detects a Chromecast device, an icon will appear in the AirMusic navigation bar. Tap on it to connect then select the music you want to stream. √ For a PC running Windows, start Windows Media Player, your iPhone Music will show under 'Other Libraries'. ◆◆◆◆◆ IMPORTANT ◆◆◆◆◆ • AirMusic is not compatible with Apple Music. • AirMusic is compatible with iCloud as long as songs have been downloaded onto your phone. Tap the little cloud download icon next to each song or album in the Music app to download them. • If AirMusic is not detecting all songs, try toggling Sync Library under iOS Settings > Music. • AirMusic requires an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch with a minimum of 50MB of disk space to work effectively. • AirMusic is not compatible with old DRM songs purchased on iTunes. Newer iTunes DRM free purchases are compatible. • When using Chromecast, you can choose and change the music directly from within AirMusic. For all other devices, you do it from these devices (ie Xbox, PS3, PC). If you are experiencing any other issues, please contact us at airmusic@plutinosoft.com. Better than alternatives, but needs work
I tried every alternative and this one is the most reliable…. Problem is I have to add individual songs from a playlist and can’t add the playlist… Not that big a deal, but I have 18k songs and hundreds of songs on my playlist and the app stops working if I add too many songs… Seems like an easy fix and making random an option would be nice, but it’s a little time consuming for now Show more

    Use only for Xbox 360
I would use this only if playing on an Xbox 360 where you can play music from an iPhone through the music tab

No user interface on the device
I saw a Reddit thread recommend this as a way to stream MP3s on my phone to my Chromecast. The software has no means to look at what music is there, no means to select what to stream to, and no means of redress when it couldn’t find my ChromeCast. Very disappointing, even for free. Show more

IT WORKS AGAIN! Ehhh not so much.
So by a miracle or coincidence, I just happened to be looking through iTunes folders on my Mac, and noticed this app folder for my iPod with all these old apps I don’t use anymore and I saw this and remembered how great it was back in the day on ps3 and when it didn’t work for ps4 I was bummed and deleted the app. Which made me search for it in the store just out of curiosity and when it said it works for ps4 now I was pumped but at the same time skeptical. Just tried it and most if not all my music is there, haven’t done a thorough search so some could be missing but it looks like everything is there. This is a much more convenient way to listen to my music instead of having to use my flash drive because of the different ways to sort music and easier navigation instead of just one giant list to scroll through and still only be able to listen by album and not just all. I’m fn pumped this is back. After a couple weeks now, I can safely say my flash drive is back to being my music player. This app literally stops songs midway for some unknown reason, then you get an error image where the artwork used to be and suddenly a ton more songs become unplayable and you have to restarted the app just to listen to half the song again. This app always had problems since I first found it all those years ago, oh well, back to my flash drive. I mean how stupid is that, you show the entire layout of what my iPod looks like making navigation so much easier.....but then every song just crashes and stops playing. Show more

    Lies.
Do not by this for Xbox one. It states it works for it. Then I went to their website and it says it does not support Xbox one at this time, faults advertising. Way to go. I want a full refund for this misleading info Show more

    Doesn’t “work” on xbox.
So the app itself doesn’t mention what app would be needed on xbox to make it work so that’s nice. Also none of the music from apple music actually work once you’ve connected to your xbox. The xbox just says there’s no files found. I tried to download the music even though that defeats the purpose of streaming and still nothing. I paid 3 dollars for a steamy pile of crap. Show more
