Andante is a music practice journal that helps musicians organize their practice. Track your mood and focus and stay motivated with streaks, goals, and charts! Andante is a musical term that describes a simple, walking pace that feels calm and serene while always moving forward with intention. That idea is the core of this app: a music practice journal that promotes calm, meditative practice as you progress through your musical journey. Andante Practice Journal provides one place to keep a log of your practice sessions as well as a journal where you can write about anything on your mind, meaning you don’t have to keep track of everything in your head. You can track your mood and focus to identify patterns in your practicing so you can achieve the most meditative, productive practice possible. You can keep yourself motivated to keep moving forward with intention by setting goals and seeing charts. Lastly, you can improve your musicianship and practice with simple tools like a metronome, audio recorder, and drone tuner. FEATURES • Practice live with a timer, metronome, and audio recorder or manually add sessions with ease. • Track your mood and focus and see charts that help you understand your practicing. • Streak counter to motivate you to practice every day. • Daily practice goals take streaks even further by setting how long you want to practice each day. See your daily goal progress on your Home Screen with iOS 14 Home Screen widgets. • Charts and data. Visualize your progress with calendars and charts. See your practice time over the last 7 days, last month, or last year. See when you have the best mood by seeing trends between mood and time of day. And so much more! • Minimalist design. It's important that nothing gets in the way of your practicing. Andante is designed to be as clean and simple as possible while still providing robust features. ANDANTE PRO • One time upgrade • Multiple practice profiles • Session notes • Drone tuner • Practice Reminders • Journal folders • Export practice log • Support the developer ABOUT THE DEVELOPER My name is Miles, and I’m a musician who recently graduated college. I originally started making Andante to help myself with my violin practice, and I would work on it every day to add features that would help me even more. Once I started giving it to friends and seeing how it helps people stay motivated, I was encouraged to take the project seriously and make Andante as excellent as possible. I hope that Andante can help with your practice journey!
What’s New
This update fixes a bug where the calendar would have incorrect dates when manually adding a practice session. If you’re enjoying Andante, consider leaving a review! Don't hesitate to contact me at miles@andante.app if you have any feedback, suggestions, need help, or anything else.

    Simple and perfect
A straight forward musical instrument practice tracker/journal. It just works and it’s straight forward. Nothing really to complain about. Don’t try and over-complicate things and has a pleasing interface. Show more

    Fix this!
Can you make an option to see more views of practice amount over time? The only setting currently is “this year” so I can no longer visualize any of my progress from 2022. Could you change this to “last 12 months”? Show more

    Great App, but….
Love everything about this except I’d love to have a tracking feature for different instrument profiles to track how I’m doing with all my practice. Right now the stats just show if you practiced that day but not how much you practice each profile. Would give 5 stars if it had a nice system of viewing multiple instruments and maybe color coded profiles. Show more

    Perfect App For Musicians
This app is literally gold. ‘As a new iPad user and starting my undergraduate degree in music I love how you can seamlessly integrate tracking your practice into your iPad! My favorite part of this app is the andante widget where you can see right from your Home Screen your practice time with little circles. It allows you to stream line your practice and adds a visual to your practice routines. The designs and simplicity of the app are so amazing and not cluttered! The one thing I wish you could do is for the rings to represent user input of their practice time goals and track your own individual practice via your set goal. But it is a perfect app otherwise! I recently upgraded to the pro version because its that good (coming from someone who only downloads free apps) Show more
