BarRemote is a mini player for Spotify that sits in your menu bar. It allows you to quickly see what's currently playing and control playback. You can search the Spotify library directly in the app to select something to play. You can browse an artist's albums and play and see album details. Playback controls can be shown or hidden from the menu bar, from the settings screen. The mini player has support for seeking in the current track, controlling volume, toggling repeat and shuffle on or off.

    Awesome!
    Just to clarify, I love this thing! I work in so many applications and desktops at one time, and I hate having to open and close Spotify and then have to readjust my desktops. My only complaint is the size. The buttons are quite tiny lol. I would love to be able to adjust the size. Thanks for the great solution though! It’s still better than using the app controls regularly. Show more

    Waste of Money
    This app is terrible! You can’t move the window so it sticks out at the top of the bar—but then it doens’t stay open when I switch screens. The whole point (for me) of having a miniplayer is so I can see what artist/track is playing without having to leave Spotify open. I’ve tried a few of these (because Spotify still hasn’t made a miniplayer of their own!) and this is the worst one. At least it was only 2.99 but still a waste. Don’t bother with this one. Show more

    Tiny, Make Bigger
    The icons are so tiny. Make them just *a little* bigger or wider (maybe remove the oval frame?) or stretch the icons just a little more, or create the option for different sizes? The purpose of the Menu Bar icon (the entire app) is to enable convenience, and playing with my mouse to ensure I am clicking in just the right spot due to such tiny icons removes that layer of convenience that I’ve paid for.     great app for manage and search without get out from your environment work, nice album artwork presentation. it would be useful if you add the "save to your music" button

    CPU Hog
    If you are cold, this is the app for you! Your laptop will be nice and toasty after just a few minutes. If you don’t your fan running constantly and your battery draining faster than donuts at a weight watchers meeting, you might want to avoid this. Show more
