The app gives you the power to create new sounds by designing your own dream amplifier, letting you swap out tubes, preamps, power amps, transformers, tone stacks, cab, and microphones, all via a powerful and intuitive interface designed for your iPad. Whether you’re a classic rocker, metalhead, jazz player, bluesman or singer-songwriter - and whether you understand how amplifier electronics work or not - you’ll be dialing in killer and exclusive tones in a heartbeat. BIAS AMP 2 Mobile adds a host of new features, including a powerful new user interface, new preamp and power amp modules, tubes, tone stacks, Blues and Bass amp packs, new Dynamic Tone Control, new speaker cabinet module with multi-mic capability and open/closed back cabinet emulation and much more. In addition to all of these amazing new features, we’ve also partnered with legendary Celestion to create brand new custom multi-mic speaker cabs using their famed impulse responses! (Additional preamp, power amp and cab models are available via in-app purchase) BIAS AMP 2 Mobile seamlessly integrates with Positive Grid’s ToneCloud®, which is far more than a simple storage tank for your own custom tones - it’s an active community where thousands of guitarists upload, share and discuss tones. The ToneCloud® gives you access to thousands of custom amps created by artists, recording studios and guitarists like you, so you’ll never lack for sonic inspiration. To take your tones to the next level, there are 9 full-featured reverbs in BIAS AMP 2 Mobile. These aren’t just simple two-knob reverbs either - they range from lush halls and chambers to intimate rooms, and each reverb has control of decay time, mix level, high and low cut filters, damping and dwell. BIAS AMP 2 Mobile integrates seamlessly with Positive Grid's BIAS FX and JamUp guitar multi-effects apps for iPad, expanding BIAS AMP 2 Mobile into a powerful and completely unified professional guitar system for live use, recording and jamming. Both JamUp and JamUp Pro include effects processors, Jam player, 8-track recorder and phrase sampler, tuner and metronome, effectively turning BIAS AMP 2 Mobile into a recording studio and top-of-the-line practice utility. BIAS AMP 2 Mobile also works with GarageBand and other audio apps using iOS’s Inter-App Audio and Audiobus. Great app, but…
Love this app. The sounds are great and fun to play with. I just updated the app and I’m still getting that clipping sound while playing, making it completely useless when trying to record. If that were fixed like the update said it was, this would be 5 stars all the way. Show more

    a dying app...
really great effort and has been a lot of fun. but this app is part of the dying breed of IAA apps. cannot get it to work with AUM which for me and many others is the future of unrestricted ipad music. hopefully it will be ported to auv3. happy to pay again. Show more

Clicking and popping On iPad 12.9 version 15
And their customer service is the worst anyone has ever seen I guarantee you. They answer once a day Monday through Thursday only. And they respond between 1-6 AM EST. Bias amp two mobile and bias pedal mobile have the same latency issues. The problem is there are only too late and see settings on both. Therefore every 20 seconds you hear a latency pop on both of those which make them unusable. Now as of March 23, 2022, bias FX2 mobile has a new bug where you can’t use the celestial packs that you purchased. It says coming soon. I thought that the software was serious but it’s a big fat joke. Blah blah blah yeah I guess what you get what you pay for. Show more

Every 30 seconds or so, it snap, crackle, pops.

    Classic…not in a good way
Like grandpa’s sweater, it looks kinda cool but fits weird and smells funky. Every modern guitar plugin needs to work as an Audio Unit, or it recording is awkward and glitchy. The smell? Kinda like a perfumed version of the actual amps: lacking the sweetness but overpowering. Show more

    Works well, but has feedback…
I couldn’t figure out the feedback problem with Garageband. It works well with guitar and headphones, but Garageband doesn’t mix without feedback. I can’t figure that out, with an amp, speaker, you name it. Other than that it’s an awesome app! Show more

Does not work with Cubasis 3.3 & Steinberg UR22mkII
I watched the Youtube vids, sounded fantastic, so I downloaded the app…. I have a new iPad Pro 12.9”, 5th Generation, M1 chip, 512gb, Steinberg UR22mkII, Cubasis 3.3…. I created new project in Cubasis, accessed Bias Amp via the project routing. Massive clicking no matter what latency setting is used in either Bias Amp or Cubasis - I tried everything! Slightly less clicking when high latency settings are used in Cubasis, but still unusable - and the latency makes playing useless… So I deleted the app. What exactly is this app to be used for - because it can’t be used for recording in Cubasis… Show more

    Communication break downs
Bias does not talk well with jamup and has a hostile relationship with garage band. The glitches are bountiful and whatever hair I have left has now left my head. Needs to have a better process than this. All apps and myself need therapy Show more
