    Developers got money hungry
I love the app, it's very useful as a virtual dj interface, however, I originally purchased Tidal specifically for using this app. The app now requires you to purchase a weekly subscription in order to use Tidal, or music streaming apps. I would recommend using this app for its free trial period, for any beginners looking to have a bit of fun, but would definitely suggest avoid paying the subscription plan, and rather use that money toward a physical controller. Dj mixer trash by Luke
At first I was looking for a game we’re I had cool DJ features beats and sounds for FREE but I soon as it downloaded I found out you needed to pay money to do almost everything you need to make the music or DJ ing cool so I am super upset especially because this didn’t only happen once but TWICE before get getting this app you may want to ponder about the expensive cost it comes with Thank you for reading. Where to begin
This app is NOT worth 8 bucks a week. It is a money grab. Even if you buy the yearly at the $39 price point it is still not worth it. It teaches you basics -if that. The first thing it tells you to do it ‘sync’ the tracks. What a way to NOT really learn. Taking advantage of people who think that DJing is the DJ twisting the cutoff/low pass filter while pumping thier fist in the air is NOT how to DJ. I don’t trust a DJ playing top 40 edm remixes without a pair of headphones on. Now if you really want to learn and cannot afford a real DJ setup (or you don’t want to be ripped off by an app that doesn’t even have basic waveform access) you should get Traktor, Edjing Pro, DJ Player pro (it is very advanced though) or Djay (which you pay for BUT it is cheaper with a real functionality). For the people complaining about paying money for an all-imagine if you really had to get a DJ setup. A pair of used 1200’s will set you back $1200-$1700 plus a mixer will be another $500. Also, you will have to actually go to a store or order online and spend $$$ on records- not including cases, needles, lugging heavy gear, etc… This is how REAL DJs started out 40 or more years ago. You can go the CDJ route and that will be more expensive but you will be able to mix mp3s as well (if you plop down the money for a higher end cdj). Remember you will have to buy cds or burn them. Then there is the DJ controller which will set you back $150 for a BASIC starter controller BUT you will be able to mix from your computer and if you use a ‘real’ app you can use your tablet/phone. You can start the ‘iPhone’ way without a controller but you still will have to buy a real app. That is the cheapest way to go BUT not at 8 bucks a week. My advice is to get a cheap controller and an iPad. You will spend money but you will actually learn. You will never really ‘learn’ on an iPhone with an overpriced app that is limited to the most basic of skill sets. I am not ‘slagging’ people who want to learn basic DJing and can only afford a phone. I am slagging those who complain about paying for apps. Yes, this app is horribly overpriced. I do agree but don’t complain about ‘paying’ for apps. That is life and DJing is not cheap. There are real apps you can learn on without overpaying. For 8 bucks a week this app should supply access to hundreds of free songs, REAL dj lessons, midi controller support, waveform views instead of the controller wheels, stem support, and way more effects. YES- you have to pay to DJ but you don’t have to pay this much for what you get. If this app gets updated with midi, stem, waveform views (not just the waveforms above the jog wheels but real waveform access), more effects, and not just nickel and diming folks then I could in good faith suggest it but for what it offers as is -it isn’t worth 8 bucks a month let alone 8 bucks a week. C’mon devs- 8 bucks a week? ABSURD Show more
