    Incredible app
This app is an unbelievable tool when it comes to writing and exporting MIDI drum tab. From blast beats to off-time funky beats this app does it all. As good as Tabit IMO. Works well with Reaper. A must have tool for those recording their own music. Show more

    Time Signatures!
I tried many other apps, and this is the only one I tried that can change the time signature of the pattern, the step view, and the metronome. Other apps want to just give you a different number of steps, but it still looks like 4 beats, or it will not change the accents in the metronome, or it is just 4/4 all the way. Drum studio does it all. Also it may be hard to tell, but you can build songs apart from just the 4 patterns that you can see. Show more

Way Better Than a Drum Machine
There are now some great apps for realistic drums on iOS. This is still one of the very best! You want flams, ghosts, cymbal chokes, drags, open/closed/foot hats, and rolls? You've got them here, each in three flavors for each kit, in addition to velocity simulation, plus lots of different kit pieces (somewhat hidden) and time signatures. Complete set of audio/MIDI/tab import and export options. Show more

Useful for basics, lacks a few features.
PROs: flexible tempo & meters per pattern logical decent implementation of special drum strokes drum tabs easy to use practice tool CONs: quality & quantity of samples is not great can't import samples (?) no velocity switched samples (?) no pinch zoom for complex meters or divisions I don't like it as much as Drum Perfect, but might find the drum tab functions useful. Best App For Actual Drummers
This app is amazing. Worth every penny. You can create beats with lifelike kits and save them. I've used it to quickly transcribe beats from songs, create fills, write down practice patterns, transcribe patterns that I'm having a hard time playing, etc. if you're a drummer, you NEED this app. Show more

    GREAT App for Drummers
EXACTLY what I was looking for. Very easy to use to create and modify beats and fills. Also east to import and export to various formats. You can use as a practice tool as well. I loaded some exercises from a workbook I'm studying, and played them on a loop through my headphones as I'm playing on my kit. Can slow down the BPM to work on a lick, then gradually increase the speed as you get it figured out. Things I would like to see in future releases: -ability to vary the pitch and sustain for the individual drums and cymbals, not just the mix volume. -ability to add multiple crashes, splashes, rides, China's, etc -ability to write and/or convert to standard music notation (not just drum tabs) Show more

    Great app!
This is a great drum app. The developer is always updating it. Simple, intuitive UI. It's becoming my fav drum app.

    Simple and very useful
If you are slow-witted like myself, you will find this app a breeze to use. It does all I want it to. You can really make some articulated beats of varying velocities, and swing the crap out of them to give it a more "human" feel. Build a song, section by section, then export the entire thing into an audio copy clip to paste into your daw for the drum part of your song. If I could ask for one thing (two actually), it would be the ability to load my own drum samples and to be able to load velocity matched samples for each level of velocity (soft sample for drags, medium for a normal hit, hard sample for accents), since drums don't just simply get louder the harder you hit them, but the sound alters significantly. They sort of "blossom" in tone. Show more
