    Great but ...
    The first MP3 file i tried -- a 30-min narration of a Washington Post article -- stopped playing a few mins shy of the track end. The countdown timer seemed to be moving in triple time too. Sad to see as the rest of the interface and features are awesome. Other reviews suggest that the dev has gone AWOL; I hope that is not true. Show more

    Crashes
    If you try to load too many songs at once the app crashes. It's a nice app otherwise but it has some glitches that really need to be worked out. I like the feature to add soundcloud, that is great. Show more

    Good, but...
    ...pro tip: do not close the app if the last file you played in it was on a network share. If said share is not accessible when you next try to open the app it will be caught in an endless loop trying to access it, rendering the app useless and forcing you to either return to the network where the share is accessible or uninstall the app. As blunders go, this is a silly yet pretty boneheaded problem.     This is the one!
    Another former Vox user here, disappointed by the bloat & upcharging in recent versions. I just want a simple interface to play music from my harddrive. This app has everything I want and nothing I don't—thank you so much! Show more

    Love the Player; Unable to Open Folders w/o Drag & Drop
    I prefer this very sleek player over Vox, Musique, VLC, and others, but cannot use it because it can't accommodate my preferred workflow. I use Keyboard Maestro to open folders with my music player of choice, which works pretty consistently across music player apps. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with this one, and I instead get the error: "File [filename] couldn't be opened because you don't have permission to view it." I gave Ionica full disk access and messed with all kinds of permissions settings, but to no avail. It looks like if the developer adds support for "Files and Folders" in whatever controls that in the Security settings it might resolve my problem. I couldn't find a way to do that on the user side, though. Show more

    Soundcloud playback stutters
    Unfortunately this makes the app useless to me. Dev makes pretty frequent updates, but hasn't been responsive to this issue.

    Could Not Open External Drive Files
    Cool interface, very lightweight, but won't open most MP3's on my external hard drive. Installed on new Macbook Air. Interface very similar to Winamp, which I like. Tried dragging music from external Seagate, app started lagging, then opened a separate search window. Able to select and hear some MP3's, but others were grayed out. App ultimately froze, had to force quit from Activity Monitor. Deleted app. Show more

    Great player
    I've been using Vox for years but like all good things it came to an end. I'm really enjoying the speed of this this player.

    Great app!
    I was looking for a light-weight mp3 player that's easy to use so that I can play my old mp3 collection without having to import the entire collection into iTunes. Being a WinAmp fan of the past I was stoked to find this app! Fits my needs perfectly!!! Thanks!!! Show more
