    Mostly good
I’m fairly happy with the app and it’s functionality. However, when you tap the album thumbnail in the lower left for the song currently playing, the album art displays Ed, full screen, which you’d expect. However, if you leave the full screen displayed, the cover art does not refresh to sync with the subsequent songs being played. Show more

    Not so great anymore!
I use it in my old Ipad4 with a black theme. Now, when I start the app, it shows a distorted logo with a white background. Please remove this ugly thing, or just let us choose if we want this ugly logo with a white background when starting the app in the settings. Show more

App needs a bit of love
I'm pretty disappointed in the lack of app updates. It doesn't appear the devs are looking at the reviews.

JRemote Beyond Perfect Companion To JRiver Server
Wow, can’t say enough. I used windows media server orginally, ripped my entire CD collect to FLAC format on the window media server, but controlling it remotely fell short. You also could not stream to separate devices from an iPhone, unless you used iTunes which doesn’t support FLAC. Enter JRiver and JRemote. Setup was simple, turning on the server capabilities was simple, settup up the remote was simple. Now we can stream our collection to separate devices. I stream to my main system and run the stream through an external DAC into my Stereo, but we can also now stream to separate devices which allow a bluetooth speaker from the device if you so choose to be remote on the deck or backyard or something…FANTASTIC! Thanks you, Bill Wheeler Show more

    Good but frustrating
This is very much a mixed bag. It streams audio very effectively, whether within its WiFi network, or remotely (once I wrestled port forwarding to the mat). It’s search functions is close to useless; while searching for a title will bring it up, along with lots of less relevant items, there’s no way I’ve found to migrate back to the album from which it came. (The album itself may appear under the generic heading ‘Album’, but you can’t link the Artist or Track to a specific Album.) When you search for a given Album, the app stacks everything with an identical name in a single pile and you have to parse through the listings to find the specific album you’re looking for. Compared to Gizmo, which I use on my Android phone, this is like a primitive caveman drawing pictographs of a horse on the walls of a dark cave. Show more

Slow and needs startup screen setting
Takes almost 20 seconds to sync now playing after launch across a small fast local network. Needs some serious optimizations. Anything greater than a few seconds from launch to fully synced is too long. Also needs a setting to start into the ‘player’ screen or the last screen user was on before quitting the app. Show more
