Mallets

As seen and heard in the tribute song "Crab Eyes" by the jamband "moe." who performed their all-iPad song at Macworld 2012. Check out their video on YouTube! Three instruments in one ~ for your iPad! Vibraphone ~ Marimba ~ Xylophone Each instrument has dynamic bars that are color-coded, as well as a pitch overlay grid so you can see the names of the notes if you like. You can play glissandos, chords, melodies, anything you can do with a real-world pitched percussion instrument, with a range of two and a half octaves. All three instruments were created with beautiful 3d graphics and carefully tailored sound samples. The vibraphone also includes a pedal sustain, and a motor option for tremolo effect. Learn to play these timeless instruments, and let your fingers be the mallets!

    Doesn’t work!
There would be no stars from me, but you have to rate to write a review

    Don't waste your money
I downloaded this app because I'm in the band and I play percussion. I wanted to improve my mallet skills but instead wasted 2 dollars on this stupid app. Every time I press on one of the keys, no sound comes out. Do not waste your money. Complete and total ripoff. Show more

    Could use an update
I love this app a lot, but it only works on the vertical orientation on the iPad. Please update it so that it works on the orientation it's supposed to: the horizontal orientation. Thanks. Show more

    Needs volume
This app works but doesn't have any volume.

Decent, but there are better options.
This has decent sound and responsiveness. However, the volume is quite low from the internal speaker. Also, for two dollars check out the app called Percussive as an alternative. More options and better sound. Show more

    Basic. Very basic.
Besides choosing from one of three instruments, vibe sustain pedal and showing note names, there are no options or features. The keys are very small and a resize option would be helpful. I'm not sure what 3D graphics means here. The samples very good but not remarkable. Show more

    Very Nice!
Really good sounding instruments that are pleasurable to play from a very creative developer! Check out his other apps!
