Melodica is a breath or touch playable polyphonic melodica instrument for iPhone and iPad. It features Audio Units v3 support, a configurable keyboard, reverb and delay effects and selectable breath or touch modes. The arrow keys shift the keyboard up or down by one octave. It can also be played using an external midi keyboard or other source via your Mac, using midi over Wifi or Bluetooth. Problems

I’m don’t want to rate this too low, because it’s just been updated. But it’s not showing up in Cubasis or AUM, and the sound level is barely audible. So Show more

needs selectable rotation

The app forces rotation that is "upside down" on my iPad Air -- makes it effectively left-handed if I want to use breath-control. Need option to select rotation.

Not much to it.

I don't want to sound criticizing when I say I expected a little more. The app itself is perfectly fine and functions very well, but I don't think I'd buy it again if I could. Show more

Okay could use some work

Keys stick. Need quicker ability to swap between octaves and stay there. Was craving the Hohner sound - closer but still no cigar. Breath control is novelty and nice touch. Buy if you're bored. Show more
