MIDI Macros

MIDI Macros enables you to create a collection of buttons (macros), which send out custom MIDI data when tapped. You can make macros to do whatever you want using MIDI: - toggle between synthesizer's presets - control your FX units' parameters - control your DAW and it's plugins - add extra buttons to your digital mixer - do all of the above simultaneously Look up the MIDI messages required for your setup in the device's manuals. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or need any help, via contact@oscarbouwmans.nl. Every macro can send multiple MIDI messages, to any of the connected MIDI devices. So, for example, one macro can toggle 3 different actions, on 3 different devices. Or 1 action, on 9 devices. Etc. MIDI Devices can be connected to your iOS device via USB*, Bluetooth, or WiFi. *requires the Apple Camera Connection Kit or other compatible adapters Macro sets can be stored in presets. Presets can either be stored locally on the iOS device, or in iCloud, allowing you to synchronise presets between your devices. A future update will allow presets to be sent to other devices using AirDrop. This way you can send presets from your iPad to your iPhone for example, or to a friend who has a similar setup.

    User unfriendly
I just got the app, and am trying to do AMYTHING. I don’t see how to use it as an output device. Giving it three stars, because a ton of people give one star if they don’t understand something, and I don’t want to be one of them. Show more

    Great To Control Program Changes
I use this program for a very specific purpose...and it is great. I use wireless midi Bluetooth (Yamaha MD-BT01...also great!) on my keyboards. By using the wireless Bluetooth midi interface with the Midi Macros app, I have the ability to change programs on my keyboard rig WIRELESSSLY! When I first purchased the app, I had very small issues. I emailed the inventor (Oscar Bouwmans) and he was super responsive. He was so helpful...and in a very short period of time, he solved my issue. I use Midi Macros to control the program changes on my keyboard rig wirelessly. I set up the buttons with the instrument name (accordion, organ, synth...etc). The program is very responsive and there are no delays when I initiate a command. It was very easy to program, but you must have a firm knowledge of Midi (MSB and LSB especially for the bank and program changes). The program allows you to assign a number of midi commands to a button. For example, the macros I set up consist of 2 commands...a bank change and a program change. I have created the perfect "Favorites" menu that controls my rig (Korg Krome, Yamaha MX61 and an AKAI Sampler). I am on stage every Friday and Saturday night and this app has been a life saver. I no longer hold up the set when I need to dial in a particular sound. It is available at the touch of a button...did I mention WIRELESSLY. I run Midi Macros on my iPad Pro in dual mode with Mackie Master Fader (which wirelessly controls my DL32R)...and I have NEVER had issues. Explore this app. I searched high and low for an app with this much simplicity and power. It is very customizable and in my opinion, one of the biggest bangs for the buck that I have every found.
