Learn your music and run rehearsals right from your mobile device using the new RehearScore App! Sometimes, finding a rehearsal pianist that meets your budgeting and scheduling needs can be challenging. The new RehearScore® is a complete digital rendition of the Piano-Conductor Score, sequenced by a top Broadway accompanist, precisely the way the composer intended. Every musical number (including scene changes, dance music, and underscoring) is recorded in its entirety so you can rehearse even if you don’t have a pianist. ● Every cast member can have access to RehearScore® ○ Simply download the App right from the App Store to access your show! ● Conduct dance or choral rehearsals. ○ With the ability to change the tempo and loop a dance break, you can run multiple rehearsals at once without the need of a separate pianist or recording. ● Find the right key – transpositions are easy. ○ Adjust your songs into the key that best suits your performer. ● Isolate, increase, or remove any particular vocal line. ○ Because each singer’s part has been recorded on a separate track, it can be played back with or without accompaniment (or louder or softer, relative to the accompaniment). ● Click and jump to any measure. ○ Measure numbers match each individual score. ● Add cuts and vamps. ○ Edit the songs down to the specific cutting you need and find the perfect number of vamps you’ll need in each song. ● Save your changes. ○ After adjusting the songs, save your changes to distribute to your cast and crew. Okay but could be better
My school is using this app for our production of Mamma Mia and it’s fine. I really like that I can isolate my vocal part when I practice at home. However, I don’t like that your phone has to open to hear the songs. Sometimes when I'm practicing, my phone will turn off because I’m not pressing any buttons and the music stops playing. When you have a smaller vocal part and only have the notes playing with out the background stuff playing, it can take a while to notice the app is off which wastes a lot of time. We use this app during rehearsals to and it annoying when we have to stop to turn the app back on. I also wish there was a way to see all the lyrics so you don’t have to have your script on you to practice. It’s also a little annoying because you have to have your ringer on and when you get a text it is distracting. It’s a solid app but really could be better if these things were changed. Show more

App doesn’t work on iPhone iOS15.4
It won’t play sounds. Otherwise it looks great. No support options from app. Even the MTI mobile website one is directed to from the App Store doesn’t work right. Pretty bad experience overall considering we paid for access. Show more

    TURN ON RINGER
I just got this app and spent forever trying to figure out how to get ANY sound. Luckily I thought to check the reviews and saw that other people said to turn on the ringer. So far it’s worked fine past that, but that should be a more broadcasted thing so that we don’t have to spend so long trying to understand Show more

    Sound doesn’t work
For me, I can’t hear any sound. My volume is the whole way up and I’ve tried so many times to fix this.

Helpful and better than nothing, but there’s so much more potential here
I’m using this app for the first time, we’re a couple of weeks into rehearsals of 9 to 5. I would usually use some kind of music composition app to help learn my part, but that involved inputting each note one at a time, sometimes for more than one vocal part so I could hear how the harmonies fit together or better understand where a part came in, which was all very time consuming (and I usually just didn’t even bother with the accompaniment). This app makes singling out my part a lot easier… but not quite easy enough. For one, the vocal parts aren’t always clearly labeled or they may be called different terms by the musical director-for example in the opening number I sing the alto part for the first chorus, which is the melody, but in the app it seems that part is second soprano. Another issue along these same lines is that I do switch from alto to second soprano within the same song, but there is no way to change that so I can play the alto part and then the second soprano unless I just pause the song entirely, and my only other option is to play both parts simultaneously. The biggest drawback between this app and my previous method of playing back my vocal part is that I could change the instrument for my vocal part so that I could easily differentiate it from the other parts. With this app, the vocal parts are all played on piano, which means it blends together with the other parts and even the accompaniment. Yes, obviously you can mute the other parts, but when it comes to things like trying to figure out where a part comes in over the backing track or trying to hear what your part sounds like against, say, the other parts of the harmony or overlapping leads, well, it all just sounds like piano. It would be EXTREMELY nice if we could get a handful of different sounds (personally, I always tended to go for a xylophone or marimba) to use for the vocal parts. Being able to skip between sections is great, I do kind of wish you could have all of the lyrics in the app instead of just the first line of a section. It seems like there is some way for the music director/director/etc. to make changes in things like tempo so it syncs with the cast’s app, which is super nice! However we’ve had several instances where it was decided to cut a few measures (things like dance breaks, etc.) and I assume this is easier to do when doing the actual show, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to do that within this rehearsal app without manually skipping to the next section. This has led to a lot of confusion and false starts in our actual rehearsal since we’ve decided to cut those measures but we still end up sitting through them waiting for our next cue. (I could be entirely wrong about this part since I’m just an ensemble member and not the music director, this is just my understanding of it.) Other than that, the app’s pretty solid, although it’s common for it to stop working altogether until the person closes it out entirely and starts it up again. Show more
