FAQ: 1. Can’t play CUE playlist file The audio file name specified by the FILE field in CUE must exactly the same as FLAC or APE file, both CUE and FLAC(or APE) must be in the same directory. 2. Does the MuscFans support single(unpaired) FLAC or APE playing? YES 3. When MusicFans starts, some audio files disappeared from the playlist, “invalid audio file format” is displayed in notification center, or some audio files disappeared when open a previously saved playlist file Due to Sandbox limitation, MusicFans must be authorized to access the audio files directories. You can do this from the MusicFans’s “Preferences” panel, if there are audio files added from iTunes Music Library, you must also authorize MusicFans to access iTunes Music Lib’s root directory(or its parent directory). Authorize MusicFans to access the whole disk can totally solve the problem. 4. If error occurred when converting audio files, check Sandbox tab in Preferences to see if output directory is authorized.

Does into interface directly to DAC!
This product depends on Apple native Audio to work. While it will play high res audio formats, it will truncate them. Audio comes out thin. Tested with 24bit/191khz WAV and AIFF files. Tried resetting the coding, but nothing seemed to work. VLC which also uses the Apple Audio worked better. Show more

AFAIK, the only free DoP player
If you have a DAC that supports native DSD playback and you’d like to leverage that for personal recordings, SACD rips and Needle Drops, this is the only free way to do so. For that, an easy 4 stars. Its simple design is good enough to work as a secondary music playback when you want/need DSD. It doesn’t have the organizational tools or features to act as a primary music player unless your needs are minimal and your library small. It would be really great if it played SACD ISOs so I don’t need to pull DFS files for everything. It also would be nice if the playlist showed artist name and allowed to organize by artist. Show more

    Nice little misic player
Works as described (unlike this other program is used to use). I have tried flac & mp3 file types at the same time in the play list. Plays flawlessly. It would be nice to be able to drag and drop a folder of music in the play list as opposed to having to select every song file and drag it over. I would recommend it to others.
