Introducing MV08, a new drum machine for iPhone and iPad. Inspired by one of the greatest drum machines of all time. Re-imagined with a modern touchscreen workflow. SOUND ARCHITECTURE The MV08 features over 200 16bit 44.1k wav files that have been faithfully sampled from one of the most important drum machines in history. (featuring 60 samples for the kick drum alone!). On top of the original voice controls we have added Pan, Pitch and two editable send effects per voice, along with a master 3 band EQ and Distortion. A POWERFUL SEQUENCER Keeping the classic XOX style sequencer from the original, we have added in some powerful updates bringing it into the 21st century: All of the voice controls can now be sequenced per step, giving you limitless freedom and possibilities to create evolving and innovative rhythms (not to mention killer bass lines!). Each pattern can be 1-64 steps long and played at either a 16 or 32 step resolution – giving you endless options to create complex time signatures and long evolving loops. FUN WITH PATTERNS There are 8 banks of 16 patterns giving you a total of 128 user patterns to play with, ensuring you don’t run out of space when inspiration strikes. We’ve created a separate demo bank to get you started featuring some classic rhythms from time gone by. You can even record the master output and export to your favourite DAW. FEATURES: - Over 218 rich 16 bit 44.1k wav samples - 60 individual samples for the kick drum alone - Additional pan, pitch and 2 x send effects per drum - Deep step editing to create dynamic and evolving rhythms - Master distortion and eq - Choose between 16 and 32 step resolution - Change the amount of steps for interesting time signatures - 128 pattern slots - Record and share your sets - Audiobus, Inter app audio and Ableton Link compatibility
What’s New
Fixed a bug that caused the MIDI channel filter to always use the OMNI setting.

Would love to import my own samples/sounds
Great job on the app so far! Looks good and sounds better. The step automation is what really makes this app great! I would really love to see import for samples implemented! This thing could be one of the top drum apps if that happened, combined with step automation this thing would definitely be a instant classic! Thanks Show more

    Great for tuned 808 bass
I needed to find an easier way to get nice plump tuned 808 kick drums so after reading on the audiob.us forum that the consensus was to use this app(MV08), I watched the thesoundtestroom video on YouTube to see it in action. Wow, it’s so easy with MV08! Why have I been working so hard on this with other apps? I bought this and NOW... my woofers could not be happier! I really didn’t need or want to learn another iOS drum machine but I’m here to say, this one is simple, easy, and sounds very nice. Show more

    Best sounding 808
The best on iOS for sure. Would like to see iOS 11 Full Screen AU with sequencer and all in GarageBand.

    Love the randomize pads feature!
Super quick to get a good best going quickly. Lots of controls and is super intuitive on the whole. Only request (for now!) Is MIDI out support. Would love I've to use mv08 to sequence drums in Ableton. Thanks devs for a great app! Recommend for sure. Show more

    Nice but...
Great sounding 808 clone. However, when switching patterns with a delay, reverb, or just a long release, the trailing sound gets cut as the pattern switches to give this unnatural effect that is not seamless. Quite undesirable for performance. Show more

    Fantastic drum app
P-locking each step is a killer feature, and it's MUCH easier to work with than other iOS drum machines. The basics are fantastic, now we need quality of life improvements if at all possible. AU, step sub-divisions, and loop export in .WAV would be excellent additions to an excellent app. Show more

    Solid 808 with good interface
I actually bought this app without necessarily realizing it was "another 808 clone", but it was immediately recognizable when I started hearing the sounds. The app sounds great, it's universal, and some real thought was put into the layout for tweaking the individual instruments. Some nice touches like pitch adjustment stepped by semitones, also. One thing I'd like to see is an easier way to trigger the instruments manually (you can do this on the one screen, but double tapping also inadvertently mutes that group). And I was a little lost trying to program patterns beyond 16 steps, but all the features are there, and it's probably just a learning curve. Finally, it should be an AU instrument, if it isn't already. Nice app for just a few bucks, and sure to get some use. Show more

Currently the best 808 on iOS
The detail of the samples and workflow are impressive. It captures the feel of using the original hardware better than most. The only thing missing is the ability to tap write. Hopefully that will be added in a future update. Tap tempo would be helpful also. Show more

Simple and straight forward, yet deep and beautiful sounding
It's just that. I love this thing, developer seems eager to make it even better. It's slick, runs smoothly. It's a great cost. Grab it definitely!
