We develop this MXF converter to help camcorder users to convert MXF video format to other general video formats, such as HD mov, avi, mp4 to enable users edit the source video in editing software (Final cut Pro, Prores, Cyberlink Powerdirector, Adobe Premiere Pro, iMovie, Quicktime, etc).

    Does the job, but hard to know what the settings mean.
    I'm glad I found this app. It converted my files well! The only thing that I don't love about it is that it is a bit confusing for someone who doesn't know the jargon for exporting video. I have no idea what some of the settings mean. Though, with that being said, they do have some presets that I tried out and they seemed to work well! Show more

    Just do std settings & it works
    I set this up on a specific setting and it didn’t work but then I just did the standard settings - ProRes 422 HQ for me and it worked well and fast. Thank you!!! I didn’t try any other standard settigns than the one I needed. Show more

    Amazingly it worked as advertised
    I had to convert a Sony Camcorder MXF file of a ceremony for disturb to family members. It was 36.5 GB. This program rendered it to a managable 1.4 GB MOV file that I could burn to a DVD. It did take 4 hours for it to do this, but worth the wait. Show more

    No Audio
    While there is no indication as to the limits of the free version, I exported for FCPX. Got great video, but no audio. Opened the same MXF file with Quicktime and saved much faster. About a fifth of the time Show more

    Worked as a charm
    From a recent trip, arrived to my desk this unknown file format I had to insert in a presentation. I was hopeless because my regular tools were unable to fix the video to my needs. This program workes as fine as required. Happy face Show more

    Fast, free and good quality conversion.

    It worked for me
    I used it to convert MXF files to Prores 422. If you are using the standard presets it’s easy - if you are doing something more complex (as I did) then you have to choose from a variety of confusing options. After trial and error I found the right settings and it worked fine. I gave it 5 stars because this version is free and it worked. Give this a try - it worked for me. Show more
