Necessary Explosion app is a new kind of Augmented Reality experience that converts your turntable or surroundings into a psychedelic sculpture garden. IF YOU HAVE THE VINYL LP: The app is intended to be experienced with the SOS vinyl LP, the debut album release by artist Necessary Explosion. Using it is as simple as dropping the needle, and launching the app. By pointing a smartphone or tablet at the turntable, users will see the songs come to life in augmented reality. IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE VINYL LP: Listeners who don’t have the record, however, can still experience the Necessary Explosion app. Simply load the app on mobile or tablet, you can play the album through Apple Music, Spotify, Soundcloud or for free on YouTube through a secondary device or sound system (not the device the app is operating on), pump the volume and follow the prompts. Users are then directed to find a flat surface to place the experience, where the AR sculptures will appear and spin as they would on a physical turntable. Cosmic animations, inspired by each track - react based on your proximity around them, creating an interactive future music experience.
