---- What Is Practicelover For? ---- Many people like to use plain paper to jot down their guitar practice schedule. They stick it to the wall and check off tasks when done. PracticeLover is here to help digitize this chore and make improvements. Following are the differences between just use your plain paper: • Practice data allows you to analyze your progress. • Effectively use your spare time to do practices without a guitar such as listening to the classic tracks, ear training, or organizing and modifying your practice schedule. • It is a mess to frequently update, modify, and re-order your schedule on the paper. • Integrated seamlessly with the Pomodoro timer. ---- Why Do You Need A Guitar Practice Schedule? ---- It is not easy to get into your guitar practice mood when everyone else is glued to their mobile phones. What we have found is that the motivation is from the sense of progress. You are not using your time effectively to make progress if you just pick up a guitar and play something you already master. This is more like “playing” instead of “practicing." Force yourself to do deliberate practice by using a well-planned schedule. Enjoy "playing" your guitar only after finishing your daily practice. Also, use the checking-off and completion rate calendar functions to stay motivated. “The key to acquiring high-level musical skills is something called deliberate practice. The more deliberate practice you do, the better you get-and this applies to any skillful activity. But deliberate practice is not the same thing as ordinary practice. Ordinary practice often involves simply repeating something you can already do pretty well. Deliberate practice, by contrast, means that you are taking a step forward. You are doing something you find difficult - and once you have mastered it, you will be a step nearer to perfecting your skill. One of the defining characteristics of deliberate practice is that generally, it isn't fun - which is why excellence is rare.” By John Powell "Why You Love Music: From Mozart to Metallica - The Emotional Power of Beautiful Sounds" “Split your guitar time into two parts: practice and play.” By Justin Guitar ---- How To Organize Your Guitar Practice Schedule? ---- If you just begin, you don’t have to worry too much about your practice. Committing 15 or 30 minutes each day is sufficient to stay on the track. However, if you want to progress along the way, you need to start planning your practice routine more seriously. Check the following practice schedule planning recommendations. (More links are in the App.) Decide What To Practice by Justin Guitar https://youtu.be/IucozqgzJcw Keep A Practice Schedule by Justin Guitar https://youtu.be/FEo106Ysdic ---- Features ---- • Practice in your spare time. Doing practice tasks don’t require a guitar when commuting. Pause your practice if you need to and resume later. • Running in the background. PracticeLover can run in the background and pack everything you need for your guitar practice including backing tracks, ear training, metronome, and all the rhythms. • Pomodoro timer Efficiently nail one task at a time with the Pomodoro timer. • Practice stats Stay motivated and get feedback by reviewing the overview calendar. “If you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it.” - Peter Drucker • Weekly view Even if you only have limited practice time each day, you can organize your practice tasks by using the weekly view. • Design Manually switch to dark mode with the groove. Minimal design matching with any styles from folk to metal. • Simple After setting up your practice schedule, the daily practice tasks will be popped up automatically without worries. ---- The Idea Is From ---- Justin Guitar - Effective Practice “Why You Love Music: From Mozart to Metallica-The Emotional Power of Beautiful Sounds” by John Powell ---- Thank You ---- Feedback and comments are welcome! It’s Good.. let’s make it Great!
Best Music practice app currently available. I am enjoying the customizations, timer & stats.. However adding small things would prompt me to pay triple the amount as a yearly subscription: 1) Metronome 2) Suggestions: Since the app keeps track of when was the last time anything was done, it’d be wise to suggest which songs or exercises have not been done in a while. 3) Accuracy-Tracker: Once a task is completed, option to journal how well or bad was it to track progress. Please check out the Fitbod app as it’s the same concept. Thanks Show more

    Yes! Finally!
This is the practice app I’ve been looking for. I finally feel organized and focused and like I can stop trying to practice 8 million things at once.

Great idea but can’t synch between devices.
I just downloaded this app. It was really great at the beginning, but very quickly I ran into trouble. 1-First, there is not tutorial 2-No appt support on the author’s website 3-The ipad version is not optimized, so what you get is the iphone version and when enlarged it looks blurry It would be fantastic if there was a session for notes and goals. That will make this app, the very best and most complete in this niche. Victor Show more

    Bravo
Best practice app I can find. This thing keeps me on task instead of endlessly shopping for guitar gadgets and wandering around YouTube. Would love to see a Mac & iPad version!! Well done. Show more

    Provides Structure to your practice
This is a great tool - to provide structure to your practice, as opposed to just playing at will. Each user defined practice has a memo area to quickly jot down any notes, specific to that technique or piece. Great to track your progress or as a reminder to address specific “challenging” areas. I use the “memo” to track my metronome progress when looking to increase my proficiency with scales, or my music pieces. Easy to copy routines to different days & add or delete practice areas. With a small upgrade, it can provide direct tracking of practice sessions, areas of practice and daily/weekly/monthly logs. Ultimately, I wish it could sync among devices, But this is a great tool! Timer Resets
Was very happy to see the stats page issue was fixed but now if I leave the app for more than a minute (to pull up music or something), the timer completely resets. Very annoying bug and means I have to have a laptop with me if I want to track practice and read off music. Show more

    Great Journal
I was surprised how easy the Journal was to set up. I upgraded to the player pack for stats etc. Fully customizable for what I or anyone would ever need. I would have paid more for this app. Thank you. I found exactly what I was looking for. Show more

    No iPad app
Small fits iPhone, blurry is when you increase the size on an iPad. The either “small” or “blurry” choices for this app are frustrating. The app may be good if you are young and have great eyesight. However, if you are older and/or sight challenged it is important to get the biggest and sharpest view possible. The developer may find increased revenue if this was a choice for customers. Show more
