Load a photo and Spinphony's 3 tone generators analyze the colors in the image as it rotates. Modify volume mix, pitch and tone as the image spins. The songs Spinphony creates are sonic renditions of the images that document your life. Musicians can use Spinphony for new song ideas. Anyone can use Spinphony to explore the musical potential that surrounds us. Spinphony is a digital version of a series of sound sculptures created by New York City artist Mark Nilsen.

    Very cool needs to take the idea just a bit further.
    Excellent idea. This app just needs a little bit further development. I would very much like to see the capability to export the midi data of my creations into one of the iOS DAWs such as Cubasis! I would personally pay 3-4 bucks for this upgrade without hesitation. Please keep developing this cool app! Show more

    Don’t hesitate, this is a must have for ambient music generation
    Really a fantastic app. You use an image ( photo, drawing, etc ) from you ur camera roll and it generates music from the color and contrast of the image like a record. But what is more interesting is that you have a lot of control over the sounds. It gives you presets but you can tweak each individual sound from the. I think Brian Eno himself would be proud to use this app. Show more

    Fantastic!
    If a picture is worth a thousand words, how many notes does that equal? You'll find the answer in Spinphony! This is terrific. Widely dynamic and superbly tweakable. I dig it, baby! Spinphony FTW! Show more
