    My favorite radio app
Many radio apps don't sound bad, they just don't sound good. Listening to the same station on a popular radio app and Streams, is like day and night. The app has the usual bells and whistles to make listening easy and convenient. I particularly like the stations that are broadcast in 5.1 surround! Don't waste your money on the Apple TV app. Show more

Effective player, lives up to audio quality proclamations
I got this because ooTunes was screwing up a lot for me, and the AAC-HEv2 streams I was listening to were getting stuck on half-quality where the full sample rate is cut and it sounds like a telephone. I saw the description and I can confirm the streams do play properly each time I've tried so far (success/fail rate was about 50% with ooTunes). However, while I disliked and found clunky the ooTunes interface, I appreciated the function I could manage to pull off with grabbing pls/m3u contents from web links from its built in browser. Many other little things like fullscreen-ish function I had come to mildly appreciate, but the app has been abandoned if you ask me, so I had to try this one. I didn't like the dog and I still don't. I don't like the branding and slogan plastered on the screen at all times. I don't like the directory and couldn't find the stations I wanted from it. I still almost gave this program 5 stars because I can still accomplish what I wanted, but I just don't like a lot of the interface/design choices and wish for more functionality and less branding and fancy logos. Please keep updating this app because no one has a decent up to date working streaming app where I can enter my own stations and let it play for days on end. Show more

Doesn't work on iPad 1 with iOS 5.1.1 installed. No support. Cannot and will not recommend until it is fixed. Apple should not have allowed this update to hi the street. Come on guys! Show some professionalism! Show more

I'm surprised there are not more glowing reviews. You deserve it. Such excellent sound. Highly recommended for all music lovers.

    Great Ap
I really enjoy the quality of the audio on this application. Superb! Only one criticism so far. When one shares on a social site, only the song title, artist and streams appears. I think the source should also be present. For example, "....is listening to Jan and Dean "Surf City" on Streams AM580 CKWW." Show more

high quality claims should connect to high quality streams
Pretty interface, but 64 kpbs is not high quality; it's not even adequate for decent reproduction. How about some more 192+ streams, like those one can find and get through iTunes on a laptop. Needed is a list what the signal quality is, and better, pick or at least highlight the higher quality options. Despite 35 years of computer experience, I have failed to be able to make additions of favorite stations to this app. Show more

    High expectations- bad app
I bought this app thinking I would be getting great sound quality on most all stations. What I found was that only about 10 percent of shoutcast and icecast streams are in the high quality AAC format that this app uses. The app developer brags about how his codec is outstanding when in actuality there are few stations that even use it and the player is playing MP3 quality in most cases. That makes this app no better and in fact even worse, when you take options into account, than some free apps out there. Went to the developers web site to find out why I couldn't get to the station finder icon and the site doesn't mention that the station finder radio tower icon isn't visible on the ipad unless you hold the ipad in portrait mode. Landscape mode hides the icon and you can't get to the icon until you flip the ipad around. Inexcusable in a paid app in my opinion. Tried manually entering an http addy to get to streams manually and the app just stalls because it keeps looking for port 80 and putting localhost or forwarded ports does no good here. What was the author thinking- we're all behind firewalls? That further cripples the ability to find your favorite stations. I gave up in frustration. This author should focus less on forwarding station links to facebook and twitter and get functionality to the forefront. Five bucks wasted. Show more
