    Good quality audio output
I used to rely on an app called Amazing Slowdowner. It was great until the Big Sur update. I use it to repitch my musical compositions over which I sing in performance, so the quality of the audio output is very important. This one's good. Show more

a satisfied bass player and guitar player
This was exactly what i was looking for and for $5, you’re getting a great product. To slow a song down to get the notes easier and not to change the pitch, unless requested, is better than the old rocktron cassette tape device back in the 80’s and 90’s. Also, this kind of thing can be done on very expensive studio software, but why spend thousands when you can spend way less to do the purpose? Show more

    Terrible for voices
When you change keys (like D down to A) it makes the voices sound terrible. If you change the key "up" then the voices all sound like chipmonks. Wish I had never bought it. Show more

    Awesome App!
It works great to slow down songs but keep them in pitch to figure out fast leads, bass lines and rhythms. Easy to use and I love the repeat feature to be able to focus in and perfect parts. It is also great to adjust pitch to the key you are playing in and practice along in that key at normal tempo. Show more

A really good App - Could be a really great App!
I had an older version of CAPO which suddenly (and without warning) became obsolete after an OS upgrade a while back. Since CAPO then held me hostage, without an upgrade path, demanding that I purchase the app yet again for $50.00 in order to get an upgraded compatible version (very annoyed at CAPO for this), I am very glad to have found Stringed2. - I’ve found it to be a very suitable replacement for CAPO as long as your need is to enable looping song bits along with the ability to change the tempo and pitch. For the money, I have found Stringed2 to be a great value already (i.e you should buy this app as is)…. However, there are a few minor tweaks I would love to have added to the Stringed2 upgrade list to help make this a truly great app: 1) Add a |< button to allow return to playback start (or to the beginning of the selected loop, if in loop mode) 2) Allow draging the loop selection block as a whole to a new location rather than have to keep reselecting a beginning and an end point each time 3) Allow resizing the Stringed2 window to the full screen width to be able to more precisely zoom on a particular part. None of the above are deal breakers, as it is still a very useful app. Just some practical use feedback to continue improvement! Show more

    Pass
The slower you go the less definition the notes have. The stretching algorithm isn’t very good. I demoed capo after buying this and wish i’d waited. The notes are nice and clear at 25% with it. Granted it’s considerably more expensive, so that is a plus in Stringed 2’s favor. Show more

    Beautiful and simple
I’ve been using this for my guitar practice, and it generally works fine. The UI is clean and modern, and I have not experienced any major issues whatsoever. I just don’t give it five stars because of some minor annoyances: - The looping selection is pretty hard to see, hence hard to adjust - No easy control to go back to the start of the track - No fullscreen mode, or, for that matter, no way to adjust the window size - Panning is very important for my practice (different channels per instrument), but it is awkward to adjust it - No customizable keyboard shortcuts Hopefully on a next version these will get implemented and then it will be close to perfection! Almost perfect
Before paying to upgrade from Capo 2 (which doesn’t work with Yosemite), I decided to see if there was anything else that would work for me. I’m glad I tried this, because it works better than Capo did (Capo was buggy). It does everything I did with Capo: changes speed/pitch, makes loops, and exports the adjusted tracks. I never used Capo’s chord recognition, so I don’t miss it. The only thing I do miss about Capo is the ability to save my settings for each track. Capo would save a native file that would open the track with my speed and pitch adjustments and loops still intact. It's annoying having to readjust everything and relocate the sections to loop. But that’s my only complaint, and for 1/6 the cost of Capo I can deal. Show more

    So far…so good
I was looking for a simple capo-type app and Capo 3 was expensive and didn’t have great reviews. This looked good so I tried it out. So far it is a fantastic little app that is priced really well. Get it! Show more
