Features: - Bpm Calculator - Metronome - Fretboard - Arpeggiator - Test Tone / Sine Wave Generator - Times for pre delay, gate and envelopes - Frequencies of equal temperament - Frequencies of Natural intervals (Just Intonation) - Wave length & travel distance of frequencies - Calibrate Concert Pitch to any frequency / Tempo - TAP Tempo - Scale Finder / Builder - Fretboard / Keyboard view to learn all kinds of scales ToneCalculator helps you bring your songs in tune. Finding the right tempo that fits best to your song. When something swings below 20 Hertz we can’t hear the frequency but perceive it as rhythm. So the tempo is a frequency below our hearing range, but still a frequency that is either in tune or not. A big part of music feeling natural is having every part of the arrangement and environment being in sync with the other elements surrounding it. So ToneCalculator also provides you with the correct (in sync) data for your Delays, LFOs, pre delay times of your reverb, attack and release times of compressors and other envelops. ToneCalculator comes with a Fretboard window to show you the note and chords on the fretboard of your instrument including: Guitar, Baritone Guitar, Banjo (4 String, 5 String + Tenor), Bass, Cello, Fiddle / Violin, Mandobass, Mandolin, Pedal Steel Guitar, Ukulele (Baritone, Bass + Soprano), Vihuela and Viola. You can also see how the scale looks on the fretboard in different tunings! 84 different tunings are included. ToneCaluclator comes with the following scales: Chromatic, Major, Minor, Major Pentatonic, Minor Pentatonic, Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian, Locrian, Super Locrian, Melodic Minor, Dorian b2, Lydian Augmented, Lydian Dominant, Aeolian Dominant, Half Diminished, Major 5, Dorian 4, Phrygian Dominant, Lydian 2, Altered Dominant bb7, Harmonic Minor, Locrian 6, Harmonic Major, Dorian b5, Phrygian b4, Lydian b3, Mixolydian b2, Lydian Augmented 2, Locrian bb7, Diminished, Dominant Diminished, Whole Tone, Augmented, Inverted Augmented, Neutral Pentatonic, Minor Blues, Major Blues, Algerian, Arabian, Byzantine, Chinese, Egyptian, Hindu, Hungarian Minor, Javaneese, Persian, Scottish, Spanish 8 Tone, Klezmer, Japanese or create and save a custom scale.

    Interesting!
It would be great to be able to: 1) click on the notes and play 2)trigger via midi 3) add custom metronome sounds. Cool app for hearing different scales and tunings.

All i need is in this app! AMAZING!
As a pro musician that uses a click track on everything that requires it I was using one app to tune, one app to TAP the tempo and ANOTHER app for the metronome. That has worked for years and then I see this app! This app is a one-stop shop for all things musical. Learning modes have never been easier. Speaking of modes, David Bennett on YouTube is amazingly knowledgeable when it comes to music theory, the Beatles and songs that are on EACH mode. He gives EXAMPLES of songs using each of the modes so when i think of a mode I REMEMBER it from the songs he demonstrated. Get this app. Whether you are Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Garageband or any DAW this app has something the others don’t! Get it today! I LOVE this app. I gave 5.99 and should have given MORE now as I am writing this! This app shows a lot of work by this programmer! Show more

    Start working better
I have had nothing but problems with this app. Today I tried the Detail setting on the upper left and after switching back to Simple it started working correctily. This is the 4th review I have sent but none of the others ever posted. I paid $5.99 to quit have a pop up window asking for money. So far today (after changing the simple/detail setting) it works as advertised. Show more

    great metronome
I am a drummer and downloaded this real quick before going to an internet-less rehersal space. It's perfect, great interface, has all the features needed and intuitively laid out.

    Get This One!
This is SO much more than a simple metronome app. This free application is so incredible that I paid $6 in support just to say thank you (THANK YOU!). The metronome portion is easy to understand and operate, but this developer has gone FAR above and beyond anything I ever imagined would come from a metronome. Also, regardless of the other features, this is the best free metronome app in the App Store. I already tried the other ones on here, and they're either lousy or they try to force you to buy the full version in order for it not to be lousy. I think it is probably very safe to say none of the paid apps could even compare to this one, anyways. The special features of the app display a whole host of advanced calculations, having to do with the mathematical relationships between pitch frequencies (notes/tones) and musical tempos. Some of these things I had already attempted to calculate on my own, with marginal success... but was nice to confirm some of my work, and then view many more elements I wasn't even sure how to calculate. This marvelous developer has made a tremendous effort in providing such a richly featured application. Show more

    FINALLY!
All I wanted was a flexible metronome and a way to generate a pitch to play along with for intonation purposes. This app does both and more! Perfect!

stays in focus even when you move to other apps : (
Good: Tap tempo, start/stop via hitting “m”; fairly easy interface, albeit cluttered; other nice-to-have features for a metronome. Bad: App’s main window emains “in front” even when you select other apps. It should “go back.” Essentially, you have to quit it to make its window go away so you can see any other app. This is a dealbreaker for me, if developer could fix this I’d happily pay for the app. Also would prefer if it didn’t make a sound when you hit tap tempo. As a piano teacher I use metronome apps to tap a student’s tempo without them getting distracted by hearing a click. I don’t want to have to turn the volume down to tap tempo, only to turn it back up when I want the Metronome. AFAIK, there’s really no need for Tap Tempo to ever make a sound for anyone. Show more
