The act of writing has always been an art. Now, it can also be an act of music. Each letter you type corresponds to a specific musical note putting a new spin on your composition. Personalize your writing by choosing between six unique moods. Each mood changes speed, filter and color to each letter’s musical note. Easily import text written in other writing applications with a copy and paste interface. When you’ve finished writing, share it with the tap of a button! Whether it’s a message, essay, story, or poem explore a new way of writing. Make music while you write. This is a port of the popular website https://tyaptone.com — and free to use — with specific features like offline mode so you can create on the go. A project by Lullatone (http://lullatone.com) and jonobr1 (http://jonobr1.com)

    Did I pay for this?
My God, I hope not... It's a cute idea, but very little more than that. No support for external keyboards on the iPad is a deal-breaker for me. I suppose one could do some amusing things with outputting "typatones" that could be integrated into more complex compositions, but... I can't see spending more than maybe one launch and few minutes with this. Show more

    Nice premise but...
It would have been nicer had the tones been in harmony. I also do not like the fact that it does not work with the iPad external keyboard. You are forced to use the abbreviated onscreen keyboard. It also would have been better if it had a tone manipulator to allow changing of the ting ting sound. Show more

    Has possibilities
This app in enjoyable, but if it would allow for a Bluetooth keyboard I would give it 5 stars!

And the X (close)button is too close to the battery level so can’t close the message. But cool/ thanks

    Maybe not worth the $2
Ok I really love this app, ever since I found the website I wanted to get it as an app (because I never have Internet and you need that for the website). It's kind of pricey for what it contains but that's ok. One thing that I suggest is to have an option to save sentences you like a lot and be able to find them in like a list or a menu somewhere. If I composed a song out of the letters, I'd want to save that too! Sometimes you can come up with nonsense like qwert th ha ad de ei... And it makes a cool sound so you want to save it. Right now you cant. But in the future, maybe you'll be able to! Show more
