VinylStudio is the easiest way to convert your records and tapes to digital format and CD. Includes a full set of sound cleaning filters. In addition to all the features offered by VinylStudio Standard (which you will find on the App Store under VinylStudio), VinylStudio Pro can also: ▪ Import and export CUE sheets. ▪ Import more than one audio file at a time. ▪ Perform recording equalisation (as used for 'flat' phono preamps and when recording pre-RIAA discs). ▪ Search more than one database at a time in the 'Lookup Track Listing' window. ▪ Import collections from Discogs. ▪ Spectral View, to locate those hard-to-find clicks and scratches. ▪ 'Patch' wide areas of damage. ▪ Set default filter settings and equalisation curves. ▪ Define custom equalisation curves / FFT filters. ▪ Load and save 'noise sample' files in the Filter Settings window. ▪ Define custom album status names to keep track of your work. ▪ Enter album notes. ▪ Print your collection. ▪ The 'Perform Frequency Analysis' feature. ▪ Create Windows Media Player playlists. ▪ Export track listings when burning CDs or DVDs. ▪ Lookup an album on Discogs by catalog number when creating a new album. ▪ Search Google or Bing for track listings. ▪ Supports a variety of 'Batch' functions to process several albums at a time (e.g. Scan for Clicks or Save Tracks). ▪ Manual click repair. ▪ The ability to group albums into folders when burning data CDs and DVDs. ▪ The ability to handle WAV files larger than 4gb (so-called 'RF64' files).

    Like magic
I had tried many different apps over the years to remove artifacts in recording, and none of them were perfect. But VinylStudio Pro has really impressed me. The interface took me a bit of practice, but once I got the hang of it, I was able to remove some very challenging digital artifacts from a file I had recorded. I had thought the app would introduce dropouts or distortion, but it made it seem like the artifacts were never there. The patch work was inaudible. The only aspect of the app I didn't like was how album-centric it is. I wish there were toggles for working with individual tracks as opposed to always having to place tracks inside an album. But other than that, I'm really impressed. Show more

    Look no further!
Congrats you have found one of the greatest apps for recording your music library. Super easy to use and worth every penny. The upgrade is well worth it it too. I have digitized cassettes and vinyl and it works as described. You can really dig into cleaning. There are presets as well as creating your own method. Best app in the store for your music library. Outstanding!
This is the best application I’ve ever used for digitizing my vinyl! I’m currently using an Ion iProfile USB turntable, not the best, but I’m getting fantastic results with VinylStudio Pro. I’ve now digitized 15 albums and love the workflow VinylStudio Pro allows me. I can start a capture, walk away from it, and come back later and start the next side. I don’t have to worry about stopping the recording as the app senses the end for me. I record a bunch of albums, then sit down to process them all at once. Batch processing has come in handy as I’ve learned the settings I like and have re-encoded a few times. Performance on my 2011 iMac is just fine; ten albums in a batch takes just a couple of minutes, including applied filters. The app has not crashed even once. Downloading album and track information from Discogs saves me typing. I appreciate that I’m able to embed cover art in the saved tracks, so I have no need to go back for ID3 editing later. There is a huge range of filtering and equalization available and I’ve been able to restore some badly damaged albums to acceptable condition. As the original .aiff, track info and other settings are all saved, I’m able to go back and try different filters and equalization curves as much as I want until I get the result I like. The vinyl is played one time only. The price gave me pause, but having used it for awhile, I have no regrets at all. Other solutions I’ve tried created so much frustration and wasted so much time that I’m counting this one a bargain. Show more
