Used to have a tf3 for a while (renters had a better system than our church). We now have the tf5 and an apple extreme router. App works as expected. Very usable although it drops signal periodically. Their system did the same. Love the remote features. Way better than our old analog system. Show more

Who needs a monitor mixer when you can DIY! To taste! Makes everyone’s job easier

We set up a separate segment of our main network, and we all jump on that segmented network to connect to the QL5. Multiple people are on it at the same time, and everyone’s app works without issue. The app has a few minor flaws, but having the ability to control my own mix on the fly is a game changer. Show more

Like other reviewers have stated, this Monitor Mix will not connect. There is no way to input IP directly like in Stage Mix. Tried with apple airport express (saw router but could not connect) and TP Link router (does not see it at all). Will try a different router. Wish Yamaha would recommend routers or figure out what the issue is with this app. Show more

This app will not connect to a TF5 with an iPhone 12 or iPad version 8. It appears in the list but will not connect.

Our church has the TF5 and it’s great. The monitor Mix app would be a tremendous addition to the worship experience. However, I’ve tried 3 IPhones and it will not connect. I’ve called Yamaha, Sweetwater and other techs and they cant figure it out. Would someone please review the recent update four months back and see it this is the problem. I would like to give 5 stars but I can’t until I can connect to the app. Thanks. Show more

Works well. Dependable connection. Little lag. Could be very usable, but it isn’t really because the phone falls asleep while app is in use. It’s hard enough to adjust the mix while playing, even harder to unlock your phone to do it. “Just disable auto lock from the settings” you’ll say. But that option is disabled for me due to the restrictions imposed on my device by my employer. Yamaha, please enable a setting that keeps the phone awake while using this app. This goes for the Studio Mix app as well. There are other music apps on my phone that do this, this should be an option here as well. Show more

As a drummer I had to yell across the stage to change the volume of the click, cues, etc., I found this app out from a friend and it blew my mind. This app helps me hear and play everything better! I wish this app had more good ratings! Great job guys!! Show more

Needs to have control of the GEQ and PEQ for your monitor. Let the administrator control wether or not to make it active. That would be a 5 star app like Allen and Heath’s monitor mix app. Show more

There is no place to enter the IP address for the mixer. Depends on a "seek" function which would only work if your WiFi infistructure was on the same subnet as your hard wired infistructure. Completely useless in most corporate/government/educational environments. Show more

I have seen other iPads autorotate but none of mine will turn 180 degrees when I have to power the mixer from opposite end to charge. Please lemme know if there is a fix. My auto rotate is off and works when the app is off. Show more

Love this app and the freedom it gives me for my mix. One suggestion: when first connecting, the list of available networks (and then mixes) is so dark, it's super difficult to read. Couldn't the list text be a much lighter color and then turn blue of some other color to indicate when it's selected? Great app! Show more

Sometimes it works on iPad, NEVER works on iPhone. Doesn't even show up as an option. Stagemix works great. Would really like a fix for this.

I just installed a QL5 with a 4.10 firmware and this monitormix app did not ommunicate with my console. 0/5 stars. When can i access my app on the console i PAID 14,000 ON?!?! Show more

We are using this for a ql5. Seamless operation. We are also using stage mix as well.

I had everyone download this app to jump on the console like other desks and get control of their own mix. But no. Not one phone with this app could find the console. However, the iPad app worked just fine. Please fix this Yamaha. Show more

Like others have said, the mix application works fine but MonitorMix does not "see" the mixer and will not connect to it. I spent about an hour on the phone with Yamaha senior tech and he was unable to help. All firmware and software are up to date. There's something seriously wrong with this app! Show more

CL5 w/ firm 4.02 .... CL-Stage Mix works perfectly. Monitor Mix DOES NOT!. It never lists any console on the network, therefore, all you get is cute spinning wheel. Whoever wrote this app, never used it in the real world. Show more

This has the potential to blow Avioms out of the water, but even those units have a simple two-band global EQ. Per-channel graphic EQ is what would really put this app over the top. Show more

[NOTE: this does NOT output audio through the i device--for that you still need an audio output from the console.] Yes, network issues can be a pain but once you have that out of the way, this works PERFECTLY! Using it in a church with a large band (8 hardwired and 5 wireless in-ear monitors) connected to our QL5. No separate monitoring system necessary, and we have tried Aviom and SamePage. They don't even compare. You have ALL inputs available on Monitor Mix. Show more
