Eventually I ran out of other options and downloaded this app. I’m surprised - and relieved - to say that it works very well! Please add an import button to import external midi files, which can then be played out of the app.

A very good app! This allowed me to combine files played on my piano to give a duet with only 1 person.

Does fine, but after a while the new recordings that I am making come out jumbled. Simultaneous scales are not synced in the file. Also, what do CC, SYSEX and OTHER buttons do? Show more

I’ve recorded a couple of songs. I can’t figure out how to play them back now. When I press on the file, it just starts recording more. I’m very confused right now. Also, I can’t figure out how to turn off the sound coming from the app so that I only hear my piano. I don’t see the option to do so in the settings. Show more

Update: Is there anyway you can add a function button to repeat the midi once it finishes it starts again? Like Play Once, Repeat, or Playlist? —————————————————— Really loving the FM sound you added! Could you please add a repeat or loop funtion/button? It would be nice to be able to record something on the fly and leave it looping. You could later add a playlist function so it continues playing other midi songs one has made or other midi’s one could import. Keep up the great work! Show more

I am learning to play drum on a Yamaha D55 drum pad kit. I need to record my music and compare to a professional drummer’s play. I don’t want to just record with an external mic as it picks up all the thumping noise from when the drum sticks hit the drum pads. You know, on a real drum kit, you won’t have the artificial thumping sound. This nice app, along with a midi-in/out to usb cable, allows me to record on my iPhone. One little kink that took me while to figure out: as I am naive to midi, the recorded midi file has to be channeled back to my Yamaha drum kit and the recorded music would come out of the drum kit speakers. The recorded midi music would not come out of my iPhone’s speakers. Show more
