    Tagr is essential
Tagr has been an extremely handy addition to iTunes/Music App editing. You can check on/change what's actually embedded in music files, whereas Apple's Music app shows the metadata in its own database, which may not match embedded tags. Show more

Has Issues With M4A Audio Tags
It works fine for my FLAC files; however, I use M4A in my Jeep that this application does not properly support as of version 5.5.2 on my MacBook Pro monterey version 12.6. Each time I write tags to M4A files, the MacOS never shows any tag data. It ends up missing from all M4A files this app writes to. Show more

    Apple Silicon Compatability
I must say that this app is great and it works fine with Rosetta 2 on my M1 MacBook. But are there any plans for supporting apple silicon natively?

I USE TAGGER AND YOU CHANGED IT !
Do you realize some menu actions do not work unless you add song files ONLY by dropping them in a folder? I can no longer just add single song files and hit the ALL IN ONE button unless I first place the files into a folder and drag it in. Show more

Love the app for Audio Book tagging
Works perfect, simple to use. Almost idiot proof. 5 stars and would pay for it (NO SUBSCRIPTIONS EVER) in a heartbeat.

    Useful app
I find Music to be finnicky about preserving changes or updates to tags. Using this app before importing new MP3s helps. Wish it had support for Sort Album, Sort Artist, etc. Latest update references using the Alt key for certain functions, which makes those function not very discoverable. (Also, what is an Alt key? I thought this was a Mac-centric app.) Show more

Thank you to the resonsive developer - great app
***My follow-up: Thank you for the response. On first attempt, this suggestion indeed seems to work (and *not* doing this with the same file produced the old, non-fuctional result), so I'm happy to change this to a 5-star review. Great app. I'm still not quite sure a) why this behavior changed, as it didn't seem to be an issue until 6-9 months or so ago, and b) quite what "rewriting all tags" is, and why it's not simply the default behavior? Can it be made to be? Not a huge deal, but unless I'm missing something, this'd be nice, and since my use scenario is not-at-all atypical, it might also save others the same problems. ***Developer's reply: "Have you tried rewriting all tags? Press Option Command S to do so. Let me know if this helps. " *** My original review: 2/3 of the time, it doesn't write tags that Apple Music/iTunes can recognize. (the tags *are* written somewhere, because when I re-open the file in Tagr, they appear correct, but iTunes can't read them) This bug/non-functionality arose out of nowhere in version 4 of Tagr, likely because of something Apple did, but it hasn't been fixed in Tagr 5, and even in the latest update, and so I cannot recommend this (once reliable) app, at all. Note: this exact same behavior evidences itself on both of my Macs, a 2019 Macbook Air and a 2019 iMac. Show more

    Excellent Little App
I first contacting the developer (Harald) to find out if the app supports AAC formatted songs. He responded immediately with a friendly message. I have since purchased the app - it does exactly what I need - tag music files (fast & easy) Show more

    Fast, easy tagging
I use it almost daily for downloaded FLAC files from sharing-friendly bands which usually aren't tagged or numbered properly - i just drag the folder onto the TAGR window and add the info I want. Now all my files are consistantly and correctly tagged. Nice and easy Show more
