Love the format, love hearing so many classics, and unappreciated cuts never played. BUT…shut up the political opinions!! All of them. Just stick to music, entertainment is an escape to relax. Not listen to some basically unknown artist blabbing his politics. Just truth. Show more

A friend introduced me to gimmecountry for Chuck Prophet’s show on Fridays. That became my go-to for winding down into the weekend. Now I listen to gimmecountry all the time. Watch out for Chuck, he’s a gateway DJ! Show more

The DJs and music on Gimmecountry are top notch. Great variety of music, insightful interviews and commentary, and the music video channel is cool to. Problem is I’m paying for a monthly subscription to get extra features and they don’t work most of the time. When I want to listen to show from the vault I get a playback failure or the app crashes. I’m not sure I’m getting extra stations as a paying brigade member either. It seems to me the extra features for paying brigade members seems worth it considering they aren’t working or non existent. Please fix or I may have to resort back to the free service. Show more

I’ve had the Gimme Country app since the early days of it’s existence and it has only gotten progressively better over time. Recent app updates and additions to the service such as the Brigade membership and Vault recordings are well worth looking into. But even if you’d rather just use the free portions of the app its still a great service. And yes, I said free. Gimme Country is free and it is amazing! The music is great, the chatroom is full of awesome friendly folks and I just can’t say enough good things. Download it now! Show more

I love hearing all the good country that you don’t hear on the radio nowadays. Gimme some Hank, Waylon, Johnny, Waylon, Kris, and some great red dirt bands! I’d love if they expanded and had a 3rd channel for red dirt. Very rarely both channels will be playing some modern thing that’s political. I don’t want to hear progressive propaganda written by Bob Dylan and played by someone else. Again, it’s rare but occasionally happens. Show more

This app is truly great and easy to use, and not to mention it has great country music. They’ve got a nice variety I gotta say and it’s real good to just leave on during a party or homework or what not, it’s guaranteed to give you some good music. I think some bluegrass would be nice in the future, but otherwise a great country app. Show more

Great DJs. Great music. Not strictly “country” and includes great music that touches country (and the other way around). I learned about this station from one of my favorite artists, Chuck Prophet, who DJs on this station. Show more

I knew somebody somewhere must still be playing country music that didn’t sound like watered down pop. The DJ’s selections have been great. I’ve been reminded of songs I forgot and found some new favorites. And I love the Spotify connect feature so I can find more stuff from artists that the DJs are playing. I love this app. Show more
