I have been using this app for my last recital practice as a violin player, it follows the tempo change really well and also pretty sensitive with the melody speed. The only thing is that the amount of repertoires is not wide enough, maybe is due to the issue of funding or other reasons, but the idea of this app is excellent so I really hope that it could become popular with all the perfected functions. If would be great if the Dvorak violin concerto can be added to the list, but it is just a personal opinion overall I love the app, great job! One year later, I am still waiting for the Dvorak Violin Concerto to be available on this app… But besides that, everything else is great! Show more

When I use an external speaker, it perceives its own sound as my playing. Echo cancellation feature would be greatly appreciated

There isn’t even a tab for voice. Love the idea but kind of sad that vocalists are excluded.

I love this app. It’s great practice in sight reading and lots of fun to play pieces I have studied in the past. It turns the pages for you and really follows your interpretations and shortcomings. This is a fantastic app for any musician who wants to practice with the piano part . I feel that the recoding feature can be much better though in the future . Are the moment it does not pick up the sound of the instrument very well while mixing it with the piano . If this can be fixed , easily a 5 star app and worth the sub. Show more

I was dreading the cold months of Covid pandemic isolation, but with this App, no more worries! I will miss playing string quartets, but meanwhile can enjoy a huge selection of music for cello and piano, played beautifully by one of the best pianists in the world, on a Steinway grand piano. It’s easy to modify tempos for the preview mode, which I use most of the time, and it’s amazing how the App responds to my own tempos in the practice mode. I look forward to new additions to the repertoire but there’s already a lifetime of music here. Highly recommended! Show more

This app continues to amaze me! I didn’t expect it to be able to follow me in a usable way, but it really works. It does take practice to learn what you can and cannot do (just like with a live person) with the app. Any significant problems I have encountered have been quickly addressed and fixed by the maker. The repertoire keeps growing. I have been using the app to play outdoor performances during the Covid-19 lockdown and it has been a pleasure to have good piano accompaniment! Show more

Since COVID-19 I haven’t gotten to collaborate in person with people and have totally been missing the feeling of harmonies and rhythms surrounding me while I play. I have really enjoyed playing with this app - using it even to make recordings using multiple Zoom recorders. I find it works best when I put it on perform and the least sensitive setting and just repeat many many times. When I did run into an issue I contacted the developer and he emailed me back the same day to say he had fixed it already! So now the app recognizes slides and glissandos as part of the note. :) I recommend this app to other professionals and students. ??? Show more

My late mother was a. Gifted, Curtis trainer pianist and organist and she knew all my foibles and could cover for me. After she passed away I never had such a compatible pianist —-until now. Kudos to My Pianist! The selections are great also. I wish you would do some selections to go along with the lower levels of violin and cello so my grandkids could practice with accompaniment , metronome, etc. Show more

Some issues with one of the pieces but the developer was extremely helpful and fixed the problem. This is a promising app.

Thank you to the developer for being so responsive!! Within a day I was back to being able to use this fabulous app - the bizarre staccato piano problem was addressed in the code and it’s now working great. I will certainly alert the developer of any problems in future and I recommend that any user with issues email the developer immediately, because he is absolutely committed to making this app the best it can be. the app has potential of being a great accompaniment app, but 1) they are primarily string pieces (which i am not) and 2) when i click a track to be played, the piano audio cuts and jumps around without being consistent. there is a red marking that indicates the measure it’s on, but even that is glitchy and it jumps from place to place. the automatic page turns are also glitchy and jump back and forth. needs some more reworking and then maybe i’ll be back.
