WARNING!!! This app took $9.99 of my money and then told me that I can’t use the Beatwave Pro features that I paid for! Now they want me to subscribe to a more expensive yearly subscription but they won’t even let me use the features that I paid for. They took my money and I don’t even get to use the app. Show more

I LOVED Beatwave 2, but this new version with the pay gate is really unfortunate. It's not worth $50+/yr. I guarantee sales and downloads have gone down since this started. And the support is nonexistent. I've emailed support in the last few months a few time, not one response. The question was simple: can I somehow share or convert project files from iPhone to iPad? I'd rather use the iPad version than iPhone. I want to work with my existing songs on a larger screen. Show more

You guys just erased my projects again with the update. Thanks. I was just about to record Beatwave into Cubasis and take it out of the novelty app category…and there’s nothing there but a 3card monte sucking me into a $50 dollar purchase. I get you guys wanna get paid but let people enjoy what you released for free without bamboozling them or erasing data. Show more

Ok the app is cool but it’s been shutting down A LOT and I’ve lost several projects . Also during recording it lags often leaving unpleasant sounds . Like if a cd or record skips. Hopefully someone understands this comparison. Yes I’m cd old ?. The other issue is it could use more sounds, like actual guitar sounds . I’ve found some that come close but none in that grunge - metal sounds I love. My last complaint: the community page is neat but you can’t comment on see who likes your stuff. Also seeing the instruments others used is cool but they can see your whole project and take it . So there’s that. Ok but it’s still fun, I love seeing others works for inspiration (not to steal) and anyone can make really cool sounds . So that is awesome! Show more

So, I like this app. However, my family is super poor right now and cannot afford to spend 60 dollars a year just for full access. Plus, that’s just way to much money to be asking from people. That seems like Beatwave is ripping people off instead of letting people create music and share it with others. I have an older iPad with the older version of Beatwave. I have way more features and instruments on there than there are available on the new version. I’d also like to point out that the charge per year was only 15 bucks or less on the older version. I want to be able to create music, as I do not have the access to real instruments due to my circumstances. To be honest? I think I like the other version better. All you did to this newer version was take away. That’s completely unfair. There are only about 3-5 options per instrument, or less. Ridiculous, I’m sorry to say. I know that apps need to make money, but with millions of users, I’m sure you can do that no problem with a much lower yearly fee. I feel that this app should be about making music, and being free. Not making money. This needs to change. It’s also pretty glitchy when I’m trying to record something. And there’s no way to get back accidentally deleted work, because it’s also really easy to accidentally do that. The app also glitched out an entire song that I made! Unacceptable. P.S. There are people who somehow are paying the yearly fee. When they share they’re music, it’s much better because they had more to work with. It’s not fair to the people who want to make amazing music just like those people, but can’t because they have no money. It’s greedy and in sense, selfish. Im sure I speak for a lot of Beatwave users out there, and if they read this, they would agree. The creators of this app should really consider this, and all the other reviews that have been written about this app. Show more

I had purchased in-app the one time purchase pro version years ago. Reinstalled the app and it's nowhere to be found. Instead, now I can pay a subscription to regain access... The app looks extremely different with somehow less musical features than before (but somehow more social ones??) Do yourself a favor and get a real music making app. They're other great options with begginer friendly user experiences. Show more

I have been using BeatWave since I was in middle school to create tracks and play around with music, and it’s now been 7 years since then. The app has always had a few glitch errors and crashes a couple times, so if you don’t exit and re-open to save your music every few minutes you run the risk of losing progress. But it has been super beginner friendly. I wish it was still updated regularly to add features like 3/4 tempo and pitch shifting to every instrument but I am still a loyal fan and continue to use the app to make everything from club bangers to ambient dreamscapes. I really loved beatwave 3 two years ago when i got it but seeing all the other reviews on here it seems to me that im not the only one that thinks this app was so much better back then It keeps on glitching , lagging, and crashing when i try to record my music , and some features that used alot back then have been taken away like the copy and paste option that used to be there for copying notes that you had placed and pasting them Or duplicating a section of a melody I listen to my old music i made back when the app worked right and it has no issues at all but when i listen to my recent ones they keep on lagging and its getting annoying Please if you can fix this issue because i dont want to have to use another music app cause this one is simple and to the point Show more

When I first used it. It was cheaper and better. You could upgrade the performance with a app called beatmaker plus and create way more sounds cause they converged through app called audio logic... just way less possibilities now. Only 3 stars now Show more

They might be robbers…I emailed them, so we will see if they honor my previous purchases, but from the looks of other reviews, this apps been infected with greed and is dead:( sooooo many better options out there now. Show more

I was extremely excited to see the app come back to the store for the first time in forever, I downloaded this immediately... I use the old beatwave that was removed from the app store years ago so I thought this could be an upgrade. As much as it was an upgrade $10.00 a month shocked me. I used to buy music packs on the old beatwave and get to use them forever, I greatly miss the old power of beatwave. I still should try the new version here but the steep price increase to a subscription is just a sad reminder that the legacy of beatwave simply wasn't the easy, one time buy and expand music creator that I remember. I will continue to keep notes on beatwave by MVM and give it as much credit as I can, I just have to find it still. Show more

There are seemingly 2 Beatwave apps. The Beatwave app that I originally had on my device somehow got hijacked by a newer one. The new Beatwave App erased everything that I was doodling with before. This new Beatwave app is locked with ads (this would be fair if I opted in, I did not). The old and new app have identical icons identical name and look identical so there’s no way to differentiate which one is which and what exactly happened. All I know is the Beatwave app previously in my iPhone is no longer. I tried to reach out to the developer but the hyperlinks lead to broken webpages that I couldn’t reach out to tech-support. This is a very un-Apple experience stay away from this app. Show more
