I’ll probably be sending these back and getting the BOSE. There’s really no reap from JBL on fixing the app problems. I can’t play these two speakers in stereo. So I’m back to the early 50’s mono playback. Planned on using them on my new front porch but can only playback in mono on the pair. Show more

How does a company like JBL allow janky garbage software like this stand by their name. Better to have no app at all to not embarrass their professional products, and what would it take to make something really useful to accompany an otherwise excellent product - instead of amateurish easte of time crap like this ??‍♂️ Show more

After taking the latest iOS update, this app is useless. It doesn’t do anything anymore.

The speaker pairs with my phone (visible from the Bluetooth menu), enabling me to play iTunes or YouTube or whatever. That’s not why I dropped HUNDREDS of dollars on this speaker. That is also where compatibility with my phone ends. After a couple of successful gigs using the app and the speaker and feeling very excited about it, the app ceased to recognize the speaker, even when it’s paired with my phone. I’ve tried everything. Forgetting the device, reinstalling the app, restarting the phone and the speaker. Trying to pair only through the app rather than the settings menu on my phone, etc. I’ve done all these things in every permutation possible, several times. Got it to work one other time for a few minutes, and that’s it. The end. Get your act together, JBL! Show more

Im so mad I did not read all this before getting a pair of EON’s. The idea was to manipulate the sound while DJing etc but reliability its BAD. App not able to locate speakers at all sometimes locate one but never both. Changed the names add numbers to the name. NADA. Why this is happening in almost year 2023. Does JBL care about customers. I will try again one more time. But this is so incredible stupid. Show more

Love the speaker The APP on the other hand is slow, laggy and need more features. Add more on board fx!!!!

The app rarely works, often crashes, sometimes needs to be completely removed and reinstalled to even see the speakers and the Bluetooth is sketchy at best. BT on the party box is rock solid but lots of skips and dropouts and the broadcast feature rarely works right. The Eon Compact is a decent price of gear, and kudos to JBL for including phantom peer so you can use a wide pickup condenser mic, which is currently popular with small acoustic groups. That said, there is so much left to be desired in this mixer app. It’s as if whoever made this app is never seen any digital mixer before. Very rudimentary! For one, the channel eq and output eq screens should be expandable to full screen. Trying to manipulate the EQ buttons on half a screen is tedious at best. Secondly, an RTA that would help find bumps for pulling out feedback would be helpful. Third, the effects and reverbs sound like crap - basically unusable. Some good presets would be nice. The ability to turn the phone vertically and get a single input channel with real demarcation of a channel strip would make it easier to get the level you want. Get any 6 users in a focus group and you could improve this immensely. I hope you do, because the controls on the hardware themselves are pretty minimal and for better or worse that’s what you have to use. Show more

I can connect a speaker and play music through my phone but the app still won’t recognize of sync the speaker. I’m playing music through the speak then when I open the app it doesn’t even show up. I can do this with each speaker I have but they don’t show up in the app. Terrible app, interface and user experience. Show more

O don’t get I ir stopped working, I have 2 speakers and I can’t pair them any more. Please fix this!

The sound will stall, skip, and at times quit. Very difficult to pair in stereo mode. Very disappointed in my purchase and this app. The engineers need to realize their issue and fix this problem . Show more

Spent over a thousand dollars on a professional pair of JBL speakers to use for wedding ceremony music and cocktail hours. I was excited to hear these speakers in action. I am using them for “professional” entertainment and have been in the biz 39 years. I can’t afford mis-fires. This app is really non-functional. Just like so many other reviews…the app stopped working after a few minutes!! What do I do JBL/HK? Seriously…what is my next move?…I have a gig this weekend and it’s Tuesday! Obviously, I will experiment with running a cable, but one of the selling points was being able to stream to the speakers. My 14 year old sons waterproof Bluetooth speaker is more reliable and works great streaming :-) Show more

I’m not sure why this app has a few bad ratings. Worked flawlessly at my friends wedding last night. Used from iPad mini over Bluetooth streaming Spotify. Speaker even kept working through a power outage so the party didn’t stop. Show more

These speakers are awesome but the app to control them is clunky... obviously NOT developed by a professional sound person (or at least OPERATED by a professional sound person or they would have fixed this basic problem before release!) There are plenty of features but the resolution of the volume sliders is horrible so if you are trying to adjust the volume just a slight touch will move them up or down by several db... quite awkward when trying to control a live performance. I even tried loading the app on my iPad thinking I would have more range of movement on the sliders but no luck... if they could improve the resolution of the volume controls this app would rock. This isn’t a Behringer 32 mixer but there’s no reason the app can’t work like their app does! Yes I agree switching between multiple speakers is a bit clunky but once you get the hang of it it’s workable... and there are nice eq features and FX features... just fix the sliders!!! Show more

tried ducking+mic/line & ducking+phantom, tried reinstalling this app, tried forgetting the speaker in bluetooth, tried restarting phone, tried restarting ipad. repeat. change order methodically. no dice. I wouldn’t care about 5.1.4 if not for the promise of being able to send audio via bluetooth without intermittent drop outs (complements of 5.1.2 or this app or both I dunno). Show more

I have spent 3 hours fighting to get the pair of these connect. When they do connect, they go in and out and skip all over the place. Tried my iPhone and iPad and both fail. Have done 2 firmware updates hoping that would help, but no. Frustrating for the ease of how it was presented in the YouTube video. Tech support I can’t even get because it has yet to send or resend my registration verification and yes I checked to make sure it was spelled correct and junk/spam. Show more

Would love to check out the features but can’t get the app to connect to the speaker. My iPad doesn’t see the speaker, even though I have Bluetooth on.

Downloaded app. Found & linked speaker. Worked mostly flawless for about 10 min. Closed app. Opened app back up 5 min later. Speaker no longer linked and can not discover new speakers. It’s nice of it works but obviously not something to count on in a professional setting. Show more

This would be an absolutely wonderful addition to the 2 eon one compacts I just picked up at Best Buy. The software only worked for a very short time but, on one speaker as I was not able to get speaker 2 functional at all. I then removed the software and reinstalled it and it just got worse. It no longer functions on my iPad or my iPhone. How about some help jbl!!!!!! Show more
