No Way To Access Sound Packs Outside The App
Embedding sound packs in the app is a complete ripoff. Especially when the app itself is subpar. I foolishly purchased several sound packs before realizing there is no actual way to use the sound packs in any other interface. It is dumb that I cannot find a folder where all the samples I bought are in… because it doesn’t exist. What a pain it is to have to resample each purchased track to use in a more polished system. Again it is just dumb that I cannot take a sound file I purchased and use it in my octatrack without having to resample the whole thing. This app was obviously designed to sell you sound packs which are actually legit but the app itself is a joke. Show more

    Sweet! UPDATE
It’s just so good! Sounds great. Sample packs have tons of dirt for a few pennies. Very inspirational. Lots of applications to just about any musical genre. Well worth it!

    A bit rough
I love this plugin, but in Garageband at least it’s very glitchy. It loses trigger start and end points very frequently, completely destroying anything I’ve made with it. I don’t have the energy to think so hard as to fix it every time it breaks. There’s also a problem resulting in dropped triggers. It happens randomly. I’ve tried everything I can to get it working properly, including changing the buffer, restarting, reloading… everything. I wish this app was better executed because it has the potential to be amazing. Show more

    (UPDATE 2022) Just buy it
Sample import was added and opened up a whole new world in Chomplr. I’m still loving this app. The only other feature that would significantly improve this app would be the ability to save a project state. Unless you’re in a DAW you can’t save all of the in and out points you’ve made to a sample. It would be nice to open up a sample in Chomplr, create all your in and out key points, set your effects and then be able to come back to it later in the same place it was when you left. Any chance of this feature? Still worth more than they’re charging tho. ————————- I’ve been following this company for a while and am nothing but impressed with their aesthetic and attention to detail. This app sounds amazing. What you can do with one short sample by assigning certain sections to keys and tweaking is a game changer. I know the tech has been out for a while but hasn’t been implemented into iOS in this way with such a diverse array of effects. I was pretty disappointed to see that I couldn’t import my own samples though ? If that feature gets added then this thing is unlimited in its scope. For now I’ll just tweak what is provided by MSXII and try to make it my own. Anyway if you were on the fence just do it, it’s only $5, what do you have to lose? Show more

    It’s Alright ⚠️
Complaints: Limited Sample Imports You’d think that Importing Samples would be a basic free feature that would come with this app, its not. It costs $2.99 and it doesn’t even let you import samples longer than 1 minute and 40 seconds. Crashes When you use the app by itself it usually crashes after about 30-40 mins in, but when used as a GarageBand plugin in then its fine. Bugs Theres a weird bug on iPhone, when you open up Key Settings the UI is out of place. I also tried to delete a imported sample the way the manual said, but the option to delete was greyed out. ———————————————————————- Wishlist: Midi Learn I hope they add Midi Learn so I could assign one of the knobs on my Midi keyboard to the data slider or for the effect sliders. Zoom Being able to zoom in on the waveform. Save Chop Edits I would like to be able to save the positions of the cuts of a sample within the app. It usually saves that within GarageBand, but I want that within this app alone. Record Button I would like a record button for when I find a groove. ———————————————————————- Done right: •Aesthetics •Effects •Sounds The samples that already come with this app sound incredible. I love the aesthetic of the whole thing. The effects are cool. Show more

    5 Star Potential
In the browser, please add the ability to save favorite selections, rename samples and a search bar to find selections easier. Thanks for replying!

Please can I get my packs
Yo this company makes good apps. After the new update all of my packs are now grayed out.. Come on y’all are you serious? Can I please get all my pets back. I don’t know if this has anything to do with the update or is it intentional. But if it’s intentional that’s shady. That’s why I only gave you three stars. Show more

    New update problems
Play button doesn’t work in the shop. So no previewing of potential purchases. iPad Pro 2018 12.9

    Almost awesome
Works ok was hoping it would allow sampling. Very cool though even though seems like a platform to just sell content instead of being a useful musical instrument. Works as described. Really want user sampling though. Not a replacement for BeatMaker 3 or other similar apps Show more

    Great idea, great implementation
I just wanted to commend the devs for opening up so many parameters to external control in the Audio Unit. Far too few apps do this. It really does function just like my old A3000 hardware sampler. Of course it would be great if users could produce their own sample packs but I can see why that ain’t gonna happen. Show more

Great sounds, fun and simple workflow
This app is amazingly fun. Tons of quality sounds. Consider this your iPad record collection - ready to chop up and inspire your compositions.

    Can’t import your own files
I picked this with the intention of using my own samples, which seems like it would be a basic feature and kind of a “well, duh” capability of a sample-chopping app. However, the ONLY way to add any sounds is through in-app purchases from their own shop, which is limited to their samples. Seriously, why isn’t this a feature? I wish I had done my homework but it’s my bad for assuming this seemingly obvious thing would be present in a sample-chopping app. Show more

You guys are on to something
Shoutout to you guys. Love the product and the add on capability. Can we look at filesize reduction maybe something cloud based for the future. Also organization by bpm and key for the samples would be tremendo. It gives it the crate digger vibe when sorting through but to also have the option would be mad for productivity. Can’t use my own samples...?
You can only cut up samples you buy from the app? Garbage. I want a refund.

    Missing Important Feature
This would be up there with sEGments as the best sample slicer but you can’t import samples
  • Meanestpenis, 12.09.2020
    Mannnn
I wouldn’t have bought it if I knew I couldn’t use my own samples smh
