Having the same issue when exporting audio transferred to my phone and then attempting to transfer to my Mac the app just crashes.

The general idea for the app to connect with the pedal via bluetooth is great but it crashes or gets stuck when trying to copy to one other the variety of app choices on ios but when you try to if either errors or crashes and you have to force quit the app then try again. Please fix the app it could be a gem if you worked on it like you work on the pedal. There is no way to send to garageband, no way to even save to audio recordings. I have to play it through my amp then record it woth the audio recording app. Not useful, might as well not even have the app. Sigh. Show more

How can a pedal as brilliant as the WireTap have such an awful app????? The pedal is so incredibly easy to use, but this app is the complete opposite. Even the simplest tasks.... like deleting (I mean discard) a song is difficult to do and then it doesn't even work. It's clear these pedals are made by guitarists for guitarist... they are incredible... but unfortunately it seems the iPhone app was also developed by a guitarist instead of someone who knows more than a little about technology and apps. This companion app to the TC Wiretap Pedal was amazing. Unfortunately it hasn't been updated in 4 years and has become really buggy. It locks up constantly, forcing you to restart the app to do anything with it. The pedal is still in production. On behalf of those of us who regularly use the pedal, please update the app. Show more

Links to update firmware are broken. No way to erase tracks from the app, so it’s cluttered with junk, even after a factory reset. I could go on and on...this app is a complete joke...I guess some pedal companies are not sophisticated enough to design software. Show more

At the very least it should work with the latest iOS versions. It crashes using the share sheet and sleeps during file transfer, leaving app in weird state requiring a forced restart. All features seem to work if you stay within the happy path or force restart first. Please update so I can use my riff recorder pedal to its full potential. Show more

Love the pedal! App frustrates the hell out of me. So simple yet so many crashes. I can’t seem to send a song file to the phone paired with it. Im going to try sending t in a message but still. Cmon TC. Show more

Minimal function, poor performance and no updates in an eternity. I’m guessing the iOS dev team is working on other things like the plethora x5. :-(.

Using iPhone 6s on latest iOS. This app could be amazing if it just didn’t crash so often. I fumbled through all the quirks mentioned in other reviews with syncing and deleting. I can live with all that if we can just fix the crashes. Time will tell if I can live with the warts for the ability to save my riffs. Show more

The Bluetooth on this thing is horrible, plus the app crashes trying to synch... just forget about usability from that standpoint. I misplaced my usb cable, so I guess I’ll never get the files off this thing.... great idea, poor execution and support. Stay away. Show more

Sure the instructions included aren’t as clear as they could be. That said it only took a few minutes of swiping left and right to find all the slightly hidden features. From far edge swipe left to right on a recording to reveal sync/upload feature. Swipe right to left on the track to reveal the delete feature. You can delete it from your phone and/or your pedal. Once the track is synced to your phone it’s easy to share via email or text. Yes occasionally it may crash but it will send your track first. Also you could always download these tracks to a computer via USB cable. This pedal is great at what it was designed to do. A slightly better instruction manual for the app is all it needs. I had high hopes, in spite of negative reviews. This app hasn't been updated recently and is useless; freezing up during export and broken delete functionality render this app a net negative not only for the app but for the pedal as well. My hope was to find a looper that works well in tandem with my laptop and/or phone (read & write). I'll keep looking but losing hope that someone has built a viable solution as of 2020. Yes, 2020. Is there an update coming?

The save to phone feature seems to work, but after choosing the location, it locks up the screen (does not return to the WiteTap app). If it can do this, or even import an mp3 or WAV from “my files” (then push to the pedal for jamming), it would be an EXTREMELY valuable tool. Thanks. Show more

I’ve been using TC pedals, amps, and cabs for years. The wiretap is an amazing pedal that is sadly crippled by this app. Bluetooth transfers are extremely sketchy, I’m lucky if it works 10 percent of the time. If the transfer works, it’s then another roll of the dice as far as getting your file to share outside of the app. I’m no developer but I believe the app is 100% the issue here. TC does great things on the hardware end but this app’s lack of updates literally makes one of their great pedals in to a paperweight. Really screwing the customer, I guess even guitars will be subscription based soon enough. Show more

I love this pedal, I love what this app would do if it didn’t crash and glitch. I need it in my life! This pedal is SO, SO important to me, my most essential pedal (doesn’t matter how it sounds if you can’t remember it!), and you simply cannot get the most out of the pedal without the app. Please fix it TC!
