    3 stars?
I don’t get it…. This app freakin rocks. Now the only thing in question is my commitment towards improvement. I have a newer model iPad, so there’s no problems with lag or timing. Pricey, but if you feel the call.. go after it. Show more

    Great Practice Tool
This is an excellent app for pros and students to excel at finger drumming and keyboards. I have had a ton of success developing new coordination skills with drumming and with my students finger drumming. A great assets to any music teacher or pro looking to find a easy, game like system to keep up their musical chops. Show more

    Controls are awful on touchscreens
Don’t bother without a midi controller- they didn’t bother to support it meaningfully.

    Perfect for e-drum practice
Works just like the desktop app. Plugged in my midi e-drums with a lightning adapter. The software recognized it immediately and I was able to play. Track playback was super smooth and the app was very responsive to my playing. Show more

    Yay
Thanks for this app. Its fun, easy to use, and I can see daily improvement in my keyboard skills, and also my knowledge of music terminology. Sometimes it inspires me to make my own music and I also find it relieves stress. Love! Show more

    Wish it was standalone
I was excited to see this app for iPad since I’ve been making music in BeatMaker 3. Unfortunately the tutorials make you use the same format as if you had a separate drum pad. So even though they tell you which pads to use, you’re forced into using a weird vertical layout during drumming unless you hook up another instrument. For a large iPad they should let you use a small on screen drum pad. My other complaint is the price. If this was $5-$10 bucks a month (not a yearly subscription) I wouldn’t mind but this combo means I won’t come back. Show more

    Melodics keys - works perfectly
Works perfectly on ipad pro. To get rid off lag on pc connect keyboard with usb C cable. I started to learn playing piano from total beginning. I already played 160h+ with melodics. The lessons are great - in facts none of the other piano apps has modern electronic synth melodies. And none of the app control so strictly every single note - that really forces perfect behavior. Melodics early introduces sharps and flats and broad range of chords - those were problematis issues for me learning reading notes at the beginning when using other apps. And what most important lessons are much more fun than other apps. I bought year subscription plans for melodics, piano academy, yousician piano, scoove. I spend with melodics 60% of play time. Probably better on Mac- Latency issues can’t play silent on newer iPads over Bluetooth- V-Drum
I subscribed to the year program and have been using it daily since I got it two weeks ago. It’s a very good ap for drum beginners or in my case someone that’s trying to get back into it after several years away. The program itself is robust and has a lot of variety but the latency kills it for anyone hoping for silent drum practice. I’m using Roland V-Drums kit with native capability and an iPad Pro and it is impossible with this hardware configuration to play this ap silently with the drums. The USB-C port on the iPad is taken up and using Bluetooth results in double hits coming from the app and the kit- you also can’t turn down the kit volume to eliminate either of the noises and there doesn’t seem to be a way to turn off the app drum hit noises. i contacted support about the issue and they said that the only way I could play silent without bluetooth lag is with an adapter for the USB-C to 3.5mm. That won’t work because I have to use the USB-C to connect to the drum module and there is not a way to send the audio from the app to the drum module out the 3.5mm headphone jack on the drums. This seems very much like a missed opportunity. TL;DR- I gave it 3 stars because it’s still a great program but the latency kills silent play entirely and there’s a lot of work to do on the iPad version. Show more

When are you going to open up the iPad version to new subscribers
Great app, but when are you going to open it up for new subscribers?

    Needs larger piano roll option
I want to like the iPad version more but the piano roll on the desktop is much better and I would love an option to enlarge the keys. Fun practice overall Show more

    Works like a dream
I literally got a melodics subscription just for this app. I have an iPad Pro 2018 and it works great. Everything runs smoothly and basically functions exactly like the desktop app. Also, even though the Akai MPK249 wasn’t in the supported list for iPad. I plugged it in and worked flawlessly! Seriously, my whole iPad can power the whole dang keyboard it’s ridiculous. The pads and keys were auto mapped in melodics too so I didn’t have to do any remapping before picking the lessons back from where I left off. There seems to be some compatibility issues for other users though so I’m not sure how well it works on lower end iPads. I can 100% recommend if you’re using one of the latest iPad Pros though. Also, are you guys considering bringing back the old iOS app that turned your phone or tablet into a drum pad? Would appreciate if that made a come back. Show more

    Crashes in courses tab
It’s been great working through the guided section for drums. I was happy with my improvement. However, once you are finished with guided section, which you can do in few months, there is no way to progress. There are many more courses in courses tab but that tab makes the app crash. I contacted the support few times but they have no solution for it. So if you purchase an annual subscription it’s pretty much useless after few months :( Show more

    Only for subscribers
No way to try out the app.

No way to buy a subscription
Why is there no way to get a subscription through the app? Seems like that would be a no brainer... am I just missing something? Thanks for the response... it didn’t answer anything I didn’t already know. Show more

    Lag ruins the experience
Severe lag when using drums makes this unusable in its current state.

    Older iOS
It’s a great app but it would be even better if it was compatible with older iOS.

Would love it if my controller worked more
Great when it syncs, but will only work with my controller ~50% of the time. Even after a mapping and assigning it.

    Please support
Melodics is wonderful. However, the iPad version doesn't seem to support some devices, unlike the Mac version. It doesn’t work well. Please support roli seablock & dtx drum series ASAP. Show more
