The app works good overall but doesn't follow in the spirit of free or affordable software that the actual MusicBee developer has maintained since the beginning. To me it seems greedy to charge so much off MusicBee success for an app this simple. This app is limited in features, has annoying ads, and options for subscription payments - or a one time $35 fee to remove the ads and unlock viewing and editing metadata (obviously free in MusicBee itself). What a joke with that pricing. A subscription for a simple remote app to play/pause and skip tracks, when the fully featured MusicBee software is completely free. Other apps that have way more features like play:Sub / Navidrome are free or have a small one time fee like $5. Since this is the only iOS app of its kind I still use it with an ad blocker, and appreciate it being available. I would be fine with paying a $5 fee for lifetime usage of a simple app like this just to remove the ads, but that's it. I'm not trying to manage my entire music collection on mobile. Hoping someone makes a simple music control app like this but free, no need to overdo it. Show more

No ads, and a view that shows the entire recording/ disc playing, with complete track info (parenthetical, like source country or composer on a collection). Not just a choice between the present track and upcoming. Show more

Clean and responsive. Excellent interface. I agree with the DJ comments, but wow… just what I’d been looking for. People complaining about cost need to realize that developing software takes time and money. I honestly appreciate the opportunity to buy a perpetual license… keep up the good work! Show more

Thank you for this. I had been wanting exactly something like this, but specifically for Musicbee and most definitely not itunes. Please make it possible to start AutoDJ based on a song choice from the app (for that matter, a right click to “clear playlist and start auto dj based on this song” would also be appreciated in the software). In the App, please make it possible just to browse specific folders within my entire library because my library is too big for the phone to handle or properly peruse. Being able to browse by folder would be even better, as I can never get metadata to clean itself up enough to not be aggravating. Can use some more features and bug fixes, but I know this is new; so happy you got it started! Show more

Fantastic app! I’d love to see support for adding a song to a playlist; that’s really the only qualm I can think of.

Overall not bad, but UI is a bit awkward to use. Maybe developer can take a look at the iTunes remote app. Mainly, move the artist, album, play list and search to bottom tab nav on Home Screen for easy access. Show more

My seventh grade teacher always said organization is the key to success. Music bee organizes all of my music and works beautifully. Can’t rate this high enough!

It’s a good app but it’s too expensive at $35 for premium. I would do it when it was $1 each to remove adds and get other functions but that’s no longer available. Show more

Used to be great. Now infested with adverts, and “only” $1.50 a month to remove them, or a one-off payment of $35. For a tiny little helper app? Yeah, dream on. I might pay that for a full games or something significant. This is a handy app, but it’s a $5 app at most. Uninstalled, with regret. Show more

Unlike Apple’s Remote for iTunes, this app works very reliably. So I moved all my iTunes library to MusicBee. And when I had a problem upgrading the plug in, the email support was very timely. Show more

The dev should really get props for this, great app, free, and not a buggy mess like you would expect from a app like this. Only thing I could ask for is better controls for the player itself, certain actions don’t work how you would expect. But otherwise it’s perfect Show more

I love that we have an iOS version of the remote and the design is simple and looks nice. But the app would crash randomly when I try to do anything other than basic functions. Show more

Extremely happy to find this remote. Volume control and skipping tracks was all I really needed at the moment, but looking forward to rating tracks through the app as well. So far, everything is working perfectly. Great app. Show more
