The app has good mixing, but the only reason I didn't give the app a higher rating is because it keeps crashing. I hope this gets fixed soon.

Coming from Serato Pyro, the UI on this app is horrible. Anti User friendly menu and strange default features. For example for some odd reason, the partial song mix is set as default. Just looking for the menu to set it as full song play took awhile just to find. As for the mixing while it does the job, it does the same repetitive filter technique transition. They really need to redo the whole UI flow . Show more

This app is amazing! It allows you to make your Spotify playlist sound like a dj is cutting the songs for you.

This is a great app to be able to mix your music to your length and when you want to cut out slow or bad parts of songs. My only complaint is being able to change when the qued song starts so that your can play the begging of songs. Show more

I love that it mix the songs like an actual DJ like me. Even tho the transmission is not that smooth cuz it’s an AI Mixer (which is totally understandable) but it gets better in every update and little problem is that it doesn’t read all the songs on my Apple library because of DCM issue or something. Other than that, I love it. Keep up the good work! Show more

So I subscribed but now it will play maybe half the song then the app will just randomly crash on me. I’ve tried to delete the app and redownload it but it’s still having this issue hopefully y’all get this fixed soon Show more

trying this app with the free tidal service. it lets me pull songs but they dont play.

This is the first time I am writing a review, which shows that I actually like the app enough to write one. The concept is executed well and the app design flows well. Even the membership feels like it’s worth the money, and without it, the app doesn’t feel like it’s missing anything. I know the app is still in its early stages, as audio occasionally sounds garbled/robotic, but it performs well and is on its way to perfection. My only request to the devs is to not turn this app into a money grab.(ex. more ads/more expensive memberships for less, bad customer service). Most of the apps I have followed from its roots turned out this way, so please be mindful of your users in the future. Thank you. Show more

Yeah so the mixing ai is very good, and works well for lots of genres that have a very pronounced time signature or beats (such as EDM for example). However, it doesn’t really give you a lot of freedom with the whole DJing thing. For instance, I was setting up a queue and accidentally added a song I didn’t want to come up then, and I couldn’t remove it! There was no way for me to add songs before it or to “remove from queue.” Also for very well known songs (such as wedding songs) it doesn’t mix well and leaves you hanging with a transition right before the good part. Also just a suggestion: maybe work on getting the whole Spotify catalog, because it gets kinda annoying and repetitive when I have a playlist and only a few songs actually come on. If you’re looking for an app that transitions well between songs and mixes well automatically - this is the one. However for events and parties…. ? Show more

Mixes are not that clean, especially with vocals. Needs a bit more AI. Has potential though.

I really miss the days when Serato was still supporting Pyro. I’ve been looking for a replacement app ever since Serato stopped maintaining Pyro. I read through a couple of Reddit threads, tried out Pacemaker and some other apps, but decided that the price wasn’t worth it to me, and continued using the ever-deprecating Pyro app that was still in my App Library. Unfortunately for me, the pyro app finally stopped working with Spotify this month, and its time has come to an end. Which led me to fry out saw Mixonset, as I had seen it recommended in some more recent Reddit threads. This app does an ok job at replacing Pyro, the transitions can sound a little wonky sometimes, especially because they’ll come in on conflicting phrases, but it’s good enough. And it handles genre mixing pretty well! I think for an app, the “mixing” so to say, is fine enough for casual use. If I wanted an actual dj experience I would listen to my own mixes or other artist sets on SoundCloud. On Pyro, when you would skip a track, it would either do an aggressive echo out / slip loop into the next track. With this app, it does a hard skip to the next transition point that the algo has decided is the best transition point. Not the smoothest experience but also not a dealbreaker for me, beggars can’t be choosers I suppose. I’ve run into some crashes and occasionally the playing audio will randomly cut out, for unknown reasons. I’ll assume these bugs will get patched in the future, with continued support. Also there is limited support for music libraries (e.g. not all tracks from Spotify or Apple Music are supported in Mixonset, which is a bummer sometimes but not a dealbreaker for me, and I assume more tracks will get licensed in the future. I’ll throw mixonset a bone for now. They’re the best alternative that I’ve found to Serato’s Pyro (goodbye sweet prince). Show more

This app is honestly trash. You can’t transition the song properly and the AI is horrible. You also can’t have the song on your playlist play in order which defeats the purpose. I should have to go through a hassle to make the playlist flow in the order I arranged it in. Also, it queues random songs that aren’t in the playlist or songs you don’t even know, and you can’t turn it off. There’s no time stamp or lyric indicator. The transitions are also very sloppy sounding. Don’t waste your time on this app. Show more

Purchased a year-long plan with the app but they suddenly got rid of a lot of the songs on the Spotify integration. Transitions are clunky with more hits than misses. App has a ton of potential but it’s not trending in the right direction. Show more

This app is a piece of crap (mind my language). So Initially when I downloaded I was having such a good time enjoying the features until I discovered it doesn’t play your whole playlist catalogue unless you’re subscribed to Tidal Hifi. I know right what scam!!! Anyways poor I still went through and subscribed b/c I really did like the app. Took ages for me to figure out how to get my playlist to transfer from apple>>tidal>>>than to the app but when I did I was so excited just to find out it won’t work when logged in with Tidal. It’ll work with Apple and Spotify but won’t give you the entire catalogue and with tidal it’ll give you your whole playlist it just won’t work. I’m so furious now I have to delete this dumb app and find another one and I really liked it too! Show more

I bought an iPad so I could use this app. The iPad came today and this app crashes constantly. I can’t play a single track without having it crash. When I download the playlist it can play the entire song but none of the suggested transition points work and if it goes to a new track that isn’t downloaded as the next song, it just stops playing. Please... just release an android or windows version. For now, I’m just going to use the Vibe feature Because the suggestions are a 10/10. You have the bones of a good app here. Release it for android and I’ll be a lifelong subscriber. Show more

Great option for a house party, smart mix keep the vibe going

Used this app to DJ for a wedding. It worked beforehand and I practiced using the app for hours. When I was at the wedding, I tapped “Mix in this Order” as I had always done, but it did NOT mix in the order of the playlist and kept playing random songs. Disappointed. Show more
