    Top notch
The amp emulations are top-tier but I’m surprised there isn’t much written about how good the effects are. This has the best spring reverb emulation on IOS. I’m a nerd for this effect and I’ve tried too many apps to count. I’m here for cleans and mild overdrive/crunch. Surf, spaghetti westerns and so on. THU hits the mark. Show more

    Great Sound
This app does everything it says and performs well as a free amp sim. I struggled somewhat with the UI, as some things are not intuitive.

    Allow Audiobus and Cubasis
When you allow inter app use of those two apps, I’ll give you 5 stars and buy more amps and gear.

How Do You Hide Unlicensed Rigs? Please Fix Looper!
Looper doesn't save, no clue how to hide unlicensed rigs.

Overloud Comes Through Support & Quality!
This is an update to my earlier review & Overloud reached out to assist me. I appreciate it when companies appreciate their customers; we are their lifeline. This software totally delivers pure guitar tone! Seriously, I’ve playing guitar for over 40 years and still play leading worship at church, and although i have yet to incorporate THU Overloud into a live band setting, the tone it’s definitely real. If not, listen to the YouTube demos of the Dang Custom amp recorded by Flo26! Super beautiful tone! I missed the year end sale due to scheduling snafu since they are in Europe & we are in USA, so for anyone seeing a 48hr sale, act fast because it really is only a 24 hr sale in the USA! They were kind enough to make ip for it by offering me a small discount! Unfortunately I already had purchased iTunes credits so i couldn’t buy the desktop. It all happens due to the time difference but it’s all good!❤️?????☝️ I highly recommend this app! MM4C Show more

Awesome tone but have awful crashes
I have THU and a bunch of Nembrini apps and GE Labs. So far I prefer using the rig manager in the American classics bank. THU might actually deliver the best tones of the entire bunch. But on my iPad mini 5 running the latest iOS 14, I will get lots of crashes with THU. Some of the crashes will completely freeze up the iPad and I will have to wait until before restarting the entire iPad. Other people on the Audibus forum report no such issues at all. So I’m hoping that eventually this sort itself out or I can find a way to stop the crashes. Show more

    Pretty Lame
OK…. here’s a few things that make this a rather weak Guitar Fx processor. 1) It’s not overly intuitive to build out your signal chain (or pedalboard). There’s already a few of these on the market (Amplitube, Bias and others); sooOOooo there’s no reason NOT to learn from these on how to make it easy [keyword EZ] to build out your signal path. You’ve got down to the corner of the screen and hit a plus button and stuff…..it’s rather confusing. You also DO NOT see the path routing; aka the patch cables between fx or amps in the signal path, which makes it more confusing. 2) Quality - I was looking for a harmonizer. They have one; but it doesn’t have the EXPECTED features. Again, harmonizers have been out for DECADES….just look at the best ones and provide the same functionality. Their software DOES NOT have a pitch adjustment like +/- cents to give that “thicker” sound. I don’t think their product has a delay for the harmonizer. These are common on all of the better software/rack units. Ideally you should be about to route the harmonized notes to a separate output than the original if you want to put different fx on those notes. 3) Instead of having actual knobs and sliders that work ::: to adjust the fx pedal a side screen comes up with a set of adjustment controls. REALLY? That’s like 1990s software design. Other vendors in the market have knobs that REALLY turn to adjust things, but not THU. Overall….the product seems CHEAP. I wish I HAD NOT wasted my money on it. Churned in CBus Show more

    Feedback When Wearing Headphones
I really love the sound of this app but my problem is when I’m using it with just a headset I get feedback when I turn it up to play along with a song in my amazing slow downer app. I tried adjusting the levels in THU and when I get there with no feedback I have to turn down the music I’m playing to low enough to hear the guitar. Then I have to turn my iPad or iPhone up really loud to hear everything and then the feedback starts showing up again. Has anybody else had this issue? Show more

Good app, some defects, terrible customer service and some false advertisement along the way.
I’ve tried to contact you guys a good 3-4 times with the same question but it’s been at least a good half year of updates and no reply from you at all: TH-U FULL - I bought it on release and only 6 months later there’s already around 12 “modules” I cannot use unless I purchase them. They also amount to up to 40-60 extra dollars Id have to pay to get them. Update: “AHHHHHH MY BAD!” Just realized it is now called “THU PREMIUM”, no longer FULL.... false advertisement I guess? Lol... Hey, I still got a ton for what I paid - but companies have to understand that often we value more loyalty, decency and honesty than “good deals” which trick you into something that isn’t what it actually was insinuating to be. When I buy “FULL” I actually expect “FULL”, not half of it. Changing the name afterwards doesn’t actually make me feel less tricked. If anything it just makes you look shadier. If I could at least remove from the scrolling panels all those modules I can’t access cause I haven’t “bought” (and will never “buy”, because technically I should own them), at least they wouldn’t clutter my interface and look me in the eye asking for my money (which they already got) while I’m working. Since they went out of their way to constantly push these pricetags around your face, using this app is a constant reminder that I was tricked into purchasing something for substantially more money than I was willing to spend, under the impression I would be getting a killer deal for the lifetime of the product - at this point it’s kinda obvious a year or two down the line I will technically own less than 20 percent of the library available even though I paid for “FULLMIUM”. At least make it so we can actually drag the knobs around, please? I mean everyone has been asking for this since day 1. That would be a worthy update - instead of all of these rigs that are not even part of the “FULL” package. At least I wouldn’t be reminded with each update that I am getting nothing new from this app. Or fix the looper already, these are things me and many more have asked for months now. Show more

    Superb for Fender tones
The “rigs” are off the hook. And work like a Kemper profiling amp.

Sounds great! Waiting for the next update
I have the desktop version and this app doesn’t disappoint. It sound very much like the desktop version. I’m using an Audient Evo 4 interface with the iPad Air. The overall latency with my setup and the standalone app is very low (probably under 4ms round trip). I been able to integrate it into my live setup. I have many of the other popular guitar amp and effects apps and plugins and this is one of the best sounding to me. Being able to use the same rigs in the rig loader as on the desktop is amazing! This is the best part about the app. Show more

    Live View Pedalboard in app
Please integrate a live view feature pedalboard simulation in the app for those who don’t have a pedalboard or just don’t want to complicate themselves.

Please fix the Cabinet IR loader ?
Awesome app! I bought the full unlock, but the Cabinet IR is not working. It won’t let me load any IRs. I see in the manual that you can load your own IRs in the desktop version. But the iOS version doesn’t seem to be working correctly at themome t. I hope the Cabinet IR will get fixed. Thanks! Show more

The best there is on iPad / iPhone
I’ve been on a bit of a tear lately looking for good guitar tones on iPad / iPhone. I’m a tech nerd as well and love tweaking. I’ve tried a handful of guitar amp sim plugins, and Overloud simply crushes them all. I installed, set up some presets, and it was then I discovered ‘Rig Player’ - and thought ... what is that? For modern guitarists, it’s basically on par with Kemper profiles. While you can’t create rigs yourself with an iPad (that I’m aware of) you can buy many, many rigs. I bought a Marshall-esque pack and was floored. It’s simply amazing how good it sounds and feels. Very responsive and dynamic performance. I personally use this plugin (thanks for AUv3!) in AUM, as I run a very simple bluetooth MIDI controller, and AUM allows me to run some MIDI processing that further controls my setup. This is the future of guitar processing - and you can run it on the same device you send text messages from. What a time to be a guitarist! Thanks for an amazing plugin. Show more

    What a waste of $15
The guitar “rigs” sound like crap. No better than Amplitube or BIAS FX. Now I’m down $15 for no good reason.

The best sounding amp sim on iOS.
I don’t know how Bias is popular, but it sounds like a toy compared to this. I know these guys have been in the amp sim game for a while, and they know how to make it sound and feel inspiring to play. The stereo routing and especially AUv3 support make this dominate anything else. I don’t mind the slider based ui since I got used to it since fake knobs are fiddly. The main request would be a an auto mute when changing interfaces. That would help eliminate feedback when you unplug your interface and forget to mute. Also, the looper needs some work. Otherwise, keep up the great work! Show more

    Fantastic Amp/FX suite w AUv3
Downloaded the free app to trial it on iPad Pro, with high hopes and a willingness to adopt if it was useful. Although there were initial disappointments, they have all been ironed out over the last few months and I can safely say that with AUv3, frequent updates, fixes and new amp packs available this is now the premiere all-in-one solution for iOS guitarists — especially who use a host/DAW. The raw amp sims sound great and very usable. FX are abundant — though I personally find the layout a little clunky. Still, it’s highly programable and the quality is excellent. Also very nice to have the same platform for desktop and iOS. iConnectivity iConnectAUDIO4+ support has now been added by the developers which I’m very grateful for. Show more

    Great!
Best full amp simulator out there - now with AUv3!
  • brianmodeler, 19.06.2020
    Needs work. Great potential
The tones from this app are incredible. It is on par with desktop vsts. However, you cannot select which input on your interface, no buffer size selection, no IAA or AUv3, and no Impluse Response loading. I think these items are crucial for this to be a real pro app on iOS Show more

    Amazingly great!
This has got to be the best sounding guitar amp sim I have have ever played. Not only sounds accurate but also has the feel.
