There is no count off so how are students supposed to know when to come in???? How can they keep a steady beat when they’re rushing to make up for coming in late on the downbeat? Why has nothing been done about this in at least a year? This could be an incredible resource but instead it’s garbage because of one, small detail that could easily be fixed. The regular app has its issues but at least it has a count off! Show more

While the intent behind this app and some of the execution are good, there are too many problems to recommend it. For playing the pieces, there is no count off, so it’s impossible to start with the metronome or track. For recording, there is a count off, but if the piece has an upbeat or upbeats, the time signature is wrong. Show more

This is a great idea. However, when you want to play, how are you to hit the play button AND get your hands on the keys to actually start playing? You need a one or two measure count off after you push play, in order to establish a tempo and get ready. Take a look at the SmartMusic program - it works beautifully, with so many options for tempo, accompaniment, melody, count off, etc. So, much more work is needed to make this app really functional. I would love to try this, but after creating an account, the “create” button will not respond. So I am not in yet.

Developer has to work more on this app. On the iOS, it is very clunky and does not respond to taps well. The option to delete students is laughable. To delete a student, you have to put your iPad in landscape, to see the slider. Once you selected a student with the slider, you then have to position your iPad in portrait mode to see that green button at the lower right to bring up the window with the option to delete the student. Not efficient. I respect Randall and Nancy Faber as educators and pianists, but this app is a big disappointment. This is not ready to be launched. Show more

There are things about this app that are brilliant, and others that are extremely frustrating. I’m trying to use this with almost all of my 60 students, but it’s only working for about 50% of them. Usually we get stuck at the log in process, but today all the content was missing. I could only see favorites. On a positive - the fact that I can send 5 days worth of sight reading that relates to the song their working on and is at an appropriate level is incredibly useful. Show more
