Can’t change frequency. Useless

Either the app will not allow me to connect to my iPhone 8 via Bluetooth or I have a brand new dud radio. Connected once, but hasn’t since. As such I cannot give it anything more than a 3 as the app appears to be pretty well laid out. Show more

I can connect to the Control device automatically via the app. But I have to go to Bluetooth setting on my phone and manually connect to the radio as well. Then I can play music. Kind of counterintuitive. Show more

I love this app with the radio works really well plus your battery get changed is a plus

July 2020 - I’ve had this radio for several years. A couple years ago was the last update that I can find, and it appears they’ve decided to no longer support or update this app. It’s mostly non-useable. I can pair the app to my iPhone 11 Max Pro, but that’s about it. Input selector, volume control, all else just don’t work at all. Not the level of professionalism I expect from Ridgid, but oh well. Don’t download unless you want frustration. Show more

This app will control the radio functions, but will not let you stream from your phone via Bluetooth. You can only stream with the aux cord, and if the have a newer model iPhone, there isn’t one. So you’re out of luck. Show more

What gives? This app is not working with my iPhone 7. It shows connected but no function work. Can’t change volume or tune radio.

Great product, I love my RIDGID radio, comparable price to other quality radios except this one has some use for utilities that really give me more bang for my buck. With today’s technology advancing, I assume it would be pretty easy to add a microphone function to the app so I can use my RIDGID radio as a loudspeaker for giving my crew instructions during briefing and maybe do a little karaoke and some fun stuff with it also! I think it would be cool if I had a rigid radio that was also a car battery jumper, and a stationary LED light fixture! Show more

This app is well put together with multiple tabs for navigation. Swiping will also bring up the menu for faster navigation, particularly useful on the larger screen iPhone models. One issue with the app, which seems like it would be a very useful feature on the job site, is the inadequacy of the voice messages portion recording a message for PA playback causes the app to crash, either when pressing the mic button early, or letting the recording complete. One nice feature would be allowing a longer message to be recorded, as right now (even if it worked) you can only record a maximum of ten seconds. This could be circumvented by either allowing a direct voice over without recording, or utilizing a longer recording option. All that being said, it would be a great app if the announcement feature was better implemented. Show more

I just recently bought the Ridgid jobsite radio. I have 3 different jobsite radios, but decided to try this one because I recently bought a Ridgid hammer drill set. The first thing I tried once I opened this app was the audio recording. As soon as I went to play the recording I just made, the app crashed immediately. I tried a few more times with the same result. The app says there was a fix to this problem in April, but it's not working for me. Hopefully this will be addressed. Otherwise this is a great app, unique and the only jobsite radio I know of with something like this. Show more

Can't stream pandora Crashes when using PA feature

My new Bluetooth radio stopped working with Bluetooth and the app is frozen on one radio station. I will update my review if these issues get resolved. Loved this radio for about three weeks before it stopped connecting. I even liked the app. I will give a better rating when this app is fixed. Show more

This app isn't a necessity for the radio but it allows you completely control the radio remotely. I highly recommend the app for its simplicity and ease of use.

This app is super user-friendly and easy to use. The interface is really intuitive and makes it easy to control everything via Bluetooth. I mounted a platform for my Ridgid job site radio on the wall of my workshop, and now I can manipulate all controls from anywhere in the shop. It makes life easy! Show more

I have had the Ridgid radio app for a little while now and I have to say it's quite impressive. It easily lets you stream music via Bluetooth from any music app directly to your Ridgid radio. It's nice having the ability to control the radio stations and volume from your phone no matter where you are in the shop. Whether a client walks in or you get a phone call you can easily mute the radio and conduct business. I highly recommend this app and the Ridgid gen5x job site radio Show more

I love this app and the job site radio. The app is easy to use and is very intuitive. I like the option to clear any Bluetooth ties by holding down the Bluetooth button for 2 seconds. The streaming function is great. Show more

This app nicely compliments a great Bluetooth radio. Basically you can control everything from the app that you can control manually right at the radio. You can control 'turning unit off', bass/treble, tuning radio, all music on your phone, etc. If you have the radio, get the app. It's a nice addition. Show more

Recently downloaded the Rigid Radio App on to my cell and love it. We can now change radio stations and increase/decrease volume from anywhere on the jobsite, without actually going back to the radio. Good job Rigid! Show more
