Love that Trackd continues to add new features to the platform. ChipIn is great and the custom VirtualVinyls are a really helpful way to share music on social media.

I've been trying to play and write music for a long time, but couldn't figure out how to do it with Garageband or bandlab while easily keeping track of things. This app is very good at letting me be a one person band, in a sense. Once I started using this I fell in love. Show more

Why was this app even updated to what it was? To be more social and money-making? Okay, sure, I can get behind that but at what costs? For a glitchy, barely working, unreliable, buggy app? Fix your app, it’s like it wasn’t even ready to be launched, let’s go down the lists. Unlike the original Trackd: The Line-Input option, when off, doesn’t pick up audio from the phone’s mic, but instead, the headphone mic STILL. This is an issue because I get too completely different sounds out of the two and I need that flexibility to get the EXACT sound I want from my recordings. Next, the click track doesn’t even play while recording so there’s literally no point in having it on. Plus, Count In just stays at 4 then records shortly after without display “3, 2, 1”… so I can’t start off my song with the first beat? This app is a joke and a slap in the face from the original… I can’t believe you. This was the only app that was my go-to for recording and uploading music to YouTube. I guess I will have to switch to BandLab or continue using the original. FIX YOUR APP! Show more

Loved the other app. This one just gave me nothing but trouble. A few examples, the countdown to record wasn’t in time with the clicks, so it was a guessing game on when it was going to start recording. I had to record a few seconds in the first box and then stop and then start recording in the second spot, and then go back and delete the first box to actually hear the clicks. It wouldn’t appear in the first otherwise. It was also out of sync half the time upon playback. Never had this problem with the other app in the couple of years I enjoyed it. Couldn’t even try the app without having to sign up for a free trial because there would be a pop up every couple of minutes. Went from absolutely great to very disappointing. Lost me. Show more

It used to work about a month or so ago but now every time I try to use the app and try to edit anything it crashes. It’s very aggravating. But the app was great when it worked Show more

There’s a lot packed into this App for music lovers and musicians... you can discover talented musicians that get featured on the app, you can become part of a collaborative community and there’s a recording interface you can use to capture and develop new song ideas. All good stuff on their own, even better combined into one app! Show more

Great for discovery, collaboration and artist / fan engagement. And the support te rocks!

This app used to be great for recording simple songs with, but now it runs so slow, crashes, constantly logs me out, and is overall worse than it used to be. As someone who can’t afford other recording methods right now this is really sad, I wish i could say i love the new app but unfortunately that is not the case. Show more

I used the first version of Trackd for years and I loved it. It was absolutely perfect for helping write and record songs. Super simple, smooth, and easy to use; it helped my song writing immensely. I think I paid around $5 for the extra tracks, which permanently unlocked them, and it was awesome. I was excited when they said they were updating it and thought they’d add some useful features. Instead we got this. They’ve turned it into a social media monster of an app, with all kinds of extraneous features, and are charging $10 a MONTH for the extra tracks (or $80 for a year). Because of all the extra stuff they added, the core app (music recording) is much slower, less responsive, lags, and is all around less enjoyable and smooth to use. If you want more than 4 tracks, it will cost you a LOT. The original Trackd was something unique and it was perfect how it was. Now it appears that it’s gone from the App Store and will no longer have support. It would be fine if they wanted to make an add on social media/promotional tools app or something, and left the old Trackd alone, but it looks like they’re just killing the original app and replacing it with this, and that, to me, is a tragedy.
