I was looking for a way to play midi files on the CA-49. I did some Googling and found out about this app. It connected to my piano fine and has a big library of music. I was able to play midi files from its library. I’m in classical heaven. 5/5. Great app and UI. Show more

Won’t connect from my iPhone but will connect from my iPad. On my phone, it sees the piano and tries to connect but fails. But if you look in Settings > Bluetooth, it says it is connected. 1 star until this gets fixed. Show more

This app has some quirks (e.g. it gets a little confused with iOS status bar size), but it’s better than the average rating would indicate. It connected flawlessly to my CA49 and allowed me to access most settings and demo songs using a better UI than the one on the built-in screen. Show more

I must be completely missing what the purpose of this app is? Why would it even be necessary for the ca79/99, the keyboard app works well for me. Let me know what the advantage would be, please, I am open for new ideas! Show more

Do you have a plan to add support for KDP-110? Or will KDP-110 never be supported?

I have this $2000, 2020 brand new CN39 piano for more than 6mo, and this app still is not supporting the model. I am so frustrated.

Useful app! I use it with my brand new CA79. I use an iPhone 8 quoth zoomed view (Display And Brightness -> Display Zoom -> Zoomed) but the view does not fit the screen, and extra scroll bars, both vertical and horizontal appear on every screen. Keep up the good work! Show more

First, this app is a great use of the available technology. Thanks for putting it out. The features that seem to be missing: - Technician settings for electric pianos. They are available when editing on the piano itself, but not on this app. - Effects (eg pan, phaser) for the electric pianos. The performance of the app appears good otherwise. Show more

Updated app version with updated piano firmware solve many of the issues.

App cannot keep a connection with my es110. Wish I could use this app but it just keeps disconnecting bluetooth connection even after reconnecting several times

At the time of writing this review, (May 2020) this app works just fine with my ca79. I’m not experiencing lag when using the app when I swipe or use the interface. Happy I downloaded it. Show more

I can't rate the app because it only works with the newest line of Kawai electric pianos, CA79/99. This led to great frustration when I tried to use it with my Kawai CN37 piano, whichis only 3 years old. Kawai responded to my inquiries and gave good technical reasons why it cannot work with my piano. The CN37/39 line is capable of being controlled this way, but not with this app. My opinion: 1) put this information up front in the app store information and 2) please write an app like this for the older models. Somewhat buggy but am finding it useful. I use it with a ca79. Please keep improving this app.

Was excited to get this app, but i am disappointed with it for two reasons. 1) Even though iOS devices have silky smooth panning and dragging. The drag behavior on the app for selecting a keyboard is just broken. It is not smooth and worst stops before you actually lift your finger or doesn’t pan at all. It is completely inconsistent. I basically had to just go back to using the screen on my piano. 2) It breaks the controls of the piano. That is, once you make certain changes on the app(like the voice), changes you make on the piano screen seem to have no effect. That is especially bad give how the app gets into modes where I can’t use it to select which piano anymore. My only option is to restart the piano. This is very broken behavior given that it is a “remote”. It should only make changes as if you changed it directly on the piano, and if you change it to something else, it should only reflect the most recent change. Also, neither app or the piano screen reflect the changes on the other. Show more
