Metagrid has had issues for years, but in its current state, it is unusable for me. It stopped working on my system about two months ago and I have contacted developers several times via email and on their website forum, and haven’t heard anything from them in months. Show more

Would’ve been a good app if it worked properly! It has bugs and the developer doesn’t respond to questions to get them fixed.

Doesn’t work as advertised. Bought it to use with Doric 3.5 and all I get is a black screen with “Dorico” at the top. Utterly useless app. Wish I could get my money back. Show more

My productivity speed has jumped into light speed using Metagrid on my iPad and Macro Express 6 on my work PC. I have set up macros for opening files and folders, retrieving data from online forms depositories, controlling my automations, and starting frequently accessed programs. The best part is I can name the button, and not have to remember a key stroke combination for all my processes I created. Thank you for a game changer for me! Show more

What is mentioned in the description here in the requirements is that you need to run an application on your computer, Metaserver, to make this work, so make sure you download and run that. Cool app, really liking this, and they have added even more applications to the mix, including Final Cut Pro! Show more

Many awesome features but takes time to set up templates n when I can’t do this on the go it makes it almost something I never use because I don’t have spare time to sit n make my custom sets because my spare time is used to make music not spend hrs n days setting all the buttons up for something I can keyboard command the same way offline editing and I may use this much more often and gain familiar ability with it until then not entirely a need to have app Show more

No ability to edit actions, switches to Cubase then flips out while looking for Nuendo. The inconsistency in this version makes it frustrating to the point where I stopped using it. Back to Lemur. Show more

This app has changed my life. Speeding up my workflow tremendously, with easy use and great functionality. My only two constructive comments are: that I wish I could use the app offline (to continue to work on my templates even while away from my computer), and that with this recent update I’ve noticed my buttons will all simultaneously switch to the MIDI channel next to the one that was assigned, unprovoked. If I’m doing something to make this happen I’m completely unaware of what it is, but it’s quite frustrating to have to go through so many buttons, switching the MIDI channel over which they send their command message, over and over again. Please fix! Otherwise, please keep up the good work and thank you for this app! Show more

Got the app a few days ago and I do not regret it! I was skeptical initially due to the price and was also considering other control surfaces and apps. There really aren’t any control surfaces at a reasonable price except MCU ones which are, meh. Other apps seemed either too limited in customization/functionality or too cumbersome to set up. This app was super easy to set up and customize. There are extensive icon sets so that you can make everything look really professional. Only thing that I think is missing is the ability to edit scenes and layouts “offline” or when you are not connected to your computer. App is responsive and seems to be very stable so far! Show more

Great for streamlining operation commands. It’s quite a bit tricky setting up Cubase on Windows, but Cubase is fussy anyway. Studio One integration worked very well, and I’ve started setting up screens for Bitwig by assigning key commands to buttons, as they do not have macros set up yet. Once you wrap your head around it, it’s logical and not difficult to customize layouts for whatever you need. Show more

This does not work? at all. New 2019 Mac Pro and iPad Pro here and Digital Performer just locks up no matter how I try to connect, USB or WiFi. I would love my day back and really love my $29.99 back. Show more

I’ve been using MetaGrid on my arsenal of iPads for awhile now. My main DAW is Digital Performer and support for DP is excellent. And MetaGrid also works for any app it recognizes. The Finder, Preview, FCPX, Finale, Notion, and many others. The default DP Bindings are great, but you can also create your own interface. One of the best features currently is the ability to create macros. For instance, with the touch of one button you can start a batch command process, which is brillant. Talk about enhancing your workflow! There’s a lot to say about Metagrid. I could write for an hour. But suffice to say this is a must have app if you’re a DAW power user. Buy now, thank me later. Excellent app. As a film composer it's a huge time saver and workflow booster. I would like to see updates and new features more often. Besides that it's awesome.

I wish lemur was integrated this well w/ standard Logic commands

I want to like this software, but there are too many showstoppers. Grids can't be resized smaller, and trying to delete a view crashes the app. Not ready for primetime.

I'm using Metagrid with Cubase, and it works great. Useful functionality out-of-the-box, with many straightforward options to customize. Setup went fine after watching the videos on the Metasystem web site. Very happy with the purchase and would highly recommend it if you are interested in remote Cubase functionality (or another supported app). Show more
