    Guzheng notation!
I have been seeking a good app to Do Guzheng number notation and this app is amazing. It spaces and sets up Music quick and can play it back in a variety of different instrumentations. Exporting the notation is good. I like that it can do PDF though it’s only in portrait mode and the size of the phone. Wish I could export or make it for 8.5 x 11. Very much recommended! Show more

    Copy and Paste
Would love to see an update to this app with additional features added to the keyboard as well as the Ukellee added to the instruments. Why am I not able to copy sections and paste them elsewhere? Also would nice to be able to highlight a section and just play that section. OR the ability to comment out portions temporarily. There is no export audio option
I guess the whole purpose of this software for the user is to make music, easily. When the app has no way to export audio then what is it for? You have to exportation MIDI and then render music on another tool or device. Isn’t this crazy? Show more

    Best app ever
Only a few adjustments needed. 1: Add a saxophone music tag 2: Maybe more in depth music notations, like a decrescendo, crescendo, staccato, and some other dynamics 3: And, when there are triplets being played, the last note plays a bit longer and overlaps the next note, can you please fix that! Other than that, I love this app. Best 7 bucks I've ever spent. I love transposing whole songs from the notes, to numbers.I love this app! ?? Show more

    Excellent
I never review apps but this one deserves to be noticed. It gives westerners a refreshing way to compose music. It is both minimal but deep. It is a really different feeling from using sequencers, piano rolls, etc for composing music, and is much less cumbersome than using western staff notation. It's a good fit for mobile phones keyboard. I really just want to emphasize that this program is well made and focused on composing. The customized input keyboard is a nice touch. Show more

Cool App for Composing on IOS
Has all the basic notations and playback so you can verify the notes. Easy to use. Missing some standard notations though such as standard repetition signs. Copy and paste don't work properly. It would be nice if they can add a conversion function from Jianpu to standard Western notes. Show more

    Constructive criticism
The crashing issue has been fixed, and thanks for that. Now I have a few general UI improvement ideas. 1. Ability to share files when they are selected on the main screen 2. Zooming in and out of the document also adjusts font size and wraps instead of zooming the page (maybe you designed that on purpose, and I'm illiterate) 3. Easier settings and help menu access from the main screen, not just while editing a document 4. The ability to create folders for documents Show more

This might be how I write music from now on.
I love this system of music notation. It is so much more intuitive and sensible than the standard method I've been used to. Of course, that practically guarantees that it will never catch on in Europe/America. It crashes here and there, but not so often so as to be unusable. Since I'm trying more to learn the notation, I'm not using the keyboard much. I'd like to be able to transpose entire pieces, but I haven't see where that's possible. Maybe I just haven't found it. Overall, however, this app has really made me interested in writing music like never before. If you have been used to the western method, it might be off-putting at first but give it a try. It's worth it, at $.99. I refused to buy it at $6.99, just as an addendum. Show more

I like the idea, but not the execution
Let me start of by saying I love this app, it's great for composition when I'm bored, but there are somethings that just aren't as good as they can be. 1. Random crashes - the app just randomly crashes. Ok maybe it's not random... It happens when you exit the app (to the home screen) and open it up after a while. When you try to play the song no sound will play, and when you stop the song, the app will crash. Luckily the app auto saves everything you do, so it's just a minor inconvenience. 2. "Help" isn't very helpful - Help (when I say "help" I mean the manual in the settings) is missing a lot of things, it's also not very easy to access. I would like it if it was right next to the settings button for easy access. I would also like for more info to be added to help. 3. Annoying keyboard - the keyboard is really aggravating, important things like; sharps, and flats are off the side and require you to scroll to get to them. 3.5. The keyboard layout is confusing - The thing I would like the most for this app out of all the things is: Numbers with note letters under them, also, when changing the key signature I would like the letters to have the respective sings next to the note letters. Nice update.
Nice update to a wonderful app, however I have some feature requests: 1. Fix the playing keyboard so the numbers correspond to the scale of the current document, and also an input/edit mode with the keyboard would be a useful addition. 2. Complete scale customization so if we wanted to we could separately set each number to any note of our choice. 3. Midi file import and CoreMIDI. Thanks, and keep up the good work! Show more

    Go-to for random composing now
This app takes some work to pick up, but I found once I understood it it was extremely easy to use. There are some issues with it still, but none of them are a big enough deal to make me rate it less than five stars. Show more

Beautiful App, But Needs Fixes, Bad!!
The program is absolutely stunning. I've been looking for a notation software that's portable for ages, and being able to hear what I notate is perfect. The only issue is sadly a huge one -- it crashes on occasion, which would be no issue did I not lose a massive amount of music I'd written! Even when it doesn't crash and I simply close it normally, sometimes, I lose all my writing anyway. This is a huge problem. I hope the developers read this review! If not for this problem, I'd easily give this app a solid five stars. And when it's fixed, I'll come straight back here and give it the review it deserves. Until then, please developers, I am desperately begging you to do what you can to fix this! Show more
