never had trouble with it since i installed it. it scrobbles apple music with no difficulties. highly recommend if you're looking for a simiple install and ignore scrobbler!

I opted to try the free trial of the pro right after I installed the app and I was subsequently hit with a $14.99 charge? I unsubscribed and uninstalled the app because I couldnt get it to even display the UI. Tried quitting both Neptunes and Spotify and restarting but the only UI I could get to show was the settings from the status nav bar. Not sure what went wrong but I shouldn't have been charged for a free trial. Especially after pro was advertised at $1.99/year after the free trial. I just wanted a mini player for spotify. This app has worked so well for so long I gave in and upgraded to PRO as thanks. I miss all of the cool apps of yester year that did these things but they've all gone away. THANKS, NEPTUNES! Show more

This has been a great app that's been developed in order to capture scrobbles for Mac users. The only issue is that it hasn't been capturing back to back scrobbles. I was obsessed with a song and was listening to it like 3 hours straight and it only counted one scrobble. :| I just hope this gets changed or updated in the future to an otherwise great app. : Show more

So far this has worked great when listening to music. My only complaint is that recently, when switching songs, it lags behind when looking at the now playing track in the recent section before it gets scrobbled. Whenever I change the song to the next track, it shows the previous track. Edit: It started happening recently. I think it was within the last updates; not sure which one. I use a WASD VP3 and the media control layer is all the way over under the left hand with Fn Q whcih requires both hands to trigger. This app allows me to make it my preferred handy shortcut Fn F12 which fits all under the right hand in an act I can execute more quickly. It only controls Music players, so it doesn't move the media controls to YouTube if I'm using that site. That's why I love this app. Show more

Seems to work great, replacing Melo with this, but I do wish the menubar icon was vertically centered. Update: stopped scrobbling somehow for an entire month despite being open and logged in. Logging out and back in fixed it, but I don’t think I’ll ever get that month back. One nice thing about Melo was that it would retroactively scrobble tracks. Also, not sure if this scrobbles from my iPhone UPDATE: been using this for years and haven't had to think about it again, great app! Show more

It's powerful without being complicated. Love the simplicity for Last.fm sync and integration. But the additional features take this from good to great. The ability to quickly see similar artists is a really nice touch, and I like the way you can keep the album artwork in the dock. Show more

Download just for the global keyboard shortcut to LOVE a track! Great app - express your music taste right on your desktop without the Music.app miniplayer getting in the way. If you at all remember apps like Coversutra and Bowtie, this is the modern-day take on those. Show more

I've used this app since before the app store existed, and it's always worked really well.

This app is fantastic, and when I had an issue affecting login to last.fm it was really concerning that I might not be able to continue using it. I contacted the app dev and they were able to help me out completely - turns out I was entering email address instead of username for last.fm login. Show more

I love this app. All of the now playing visuals it gives (toolbar, floating album art) are fantastic. I also love that it scrobbles Last.fm!

try not to forget to turn it on (i ended up setting it up so that it opens upon sign in) and works seamlessly with last.fm.

I love Last.fm, but the official scrobbler kills my CPU more than iTunes and my web browser, and that's just crazy. NepTunes works reliably while keeping battery consumption nice and low. I love the desktop album artwork feature too. It's a great subtle way to appreciate the art associated with the album I'm listening to. Reminds me of how we used to prop up the record sleeve when listening to vinyl. Love a simple app that does one job well. Cheers! Show more

There is a list called "Recently Played", and it lists several songs I recently played. But if I click any of them, nothing happens. Apple Music will not play that song. If so, why is there a list? Can we play the song once I click? Show more

always loved it new update causes an issue with the widget though: there seems to be an invisible wall that limits how high up the widget goes on the screen

Couldn't be happier with this app, it does exactly what it needs to do and has a reasonable degree of customization allowing you to shape the UI to your preference. I love the addition of the track info in the menu bar - such a small feature with a huge UX impact. Will happily be a Pro user of the app for as long as it exists. Show more

I don't mind the new Pro add-on. App devs deserve to get paid for their work. However, since the update I am having issues getting the extension to scrobble my tracks. Any idea how I can fix this? EDIT: I'm dumb and didn't do the simple troubleshooting of closing/restarting everything. Works fine now!
