I bought the app specifically because advertising claimed it would allow me to see album liner notes for content in my Apple Music library. I see artwork, track listing and links to reviews, but no liner notes. Show more

This app is fantastic. I use it all the time to find liner notes on the fly for songs I'm listening to. I do love Tidal's credits, but this app really fills in the gap when I'm using Apple Music. Thank you for making this app! Show more

This app adds essential music metadata to Apple Music for artist/producer discovery. One of the more essential apps I have on my phone. Hats off to the dev.

No share extension that I could find on OSX No supported shortcut on OSX. Does not offer a help utility. Seems that it is primarily focused on IOS.

The developers of this app are doing a great job already, but they could be doing an even better job by including information about songs taken and sourced from songfacts.com. I think this would attract more people to your app and leave you many more positive reviews. Just saying. It would definitely make me happy. Show more

I’ve only occasionally dipped into this app for detailed information regarding my music, so I haven’t fully explored all the nooks and crannies. At this point, I can recommend the app, but I have to mention two frustrations. #1 may be outside the developer’s control, but it’s still annoying: Not all albums featuring MusicSmart data include the same categories of data or even much data at all; some feature extensive lists of performers/producers/engineers, etc., while others simply present songwriter credits. I’m sure this is based on what’s available, but I’d like to see both greater detail and greater consistency. #2 is more frustrating for me: Before you can read liner notes or view MusicSmart data for an album, that album must be in your library. I realize it doesn’t require much effort to add a title via Apple Music, but it’s a hurdle that feels unnecessary. If I’m shopping for physical music, I’d be able to read the liner notes on the back of an LP or, perhaps, maybe even on a CD; why can’t I access information regardless of whether a title is in my personal library or not? That information could help me decide whether to stream, add in Apple Music, or purchase new music. Show more

I have always been interested in the history of music releases and the artists. While Apple Music has good info it is incomplete. I have had the Discog app loaded for years to fill in the holes. This app integrates not only Discogs but several other music databases. If you have Apple music this app is almost a mandatory companion. Show more

This app fills a giant hole that I'd have expected more music organizing apps to do - have fun and interesting information about songs and artists. The seach process is quick and easy. One piece of information missing that I'd have liked to see is the album(s) the track appears on, but this is minor. The only thing I hoped this app would be able to do is integrate with the Music app to automatically display info for the song that's playing. Maybe that's too much to ask, but it still enhances and makes the music streaming experience more enjoyable. Show more

This may be dumb but if this app integrates with your music library like it says. If you currently have a Apple Music subscription and cancel it will it take away albums on here? Because it keeps track of your music library ,but without a music subscription will you lose the albums that are already added on here? Again just curious but it’s otherwise a very good app & I really enjoy. You who are reading the comments to learn more about this app you will too. Show more

MusicSmart is impressive. No one else is developing more straightforward, effective and afforable applications for music resources. Getting quick credit lines and additional corresponding information all in one search has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remeber. Highly reccomend. Show more

I like this app and the info it provides. I wish it listed credits for vocals, instruments, and production. Nevertheless, I would recommend it.

This app comes in handy when you want to know every detail of your favorite song the feature that I missed once I switched from Spotify to Apple Music! I’m so glad this app exist! Definitely worth the two dollars! Show more

I cannot speak too highly about the trove of information for just about every song that is streamable. One improvement is to support artist lookups via Apple Music, in addition to albums and songs via the share option. Show more

This was represented as liner notes. Liner notes to me consist of names of all the artists who performed on the record. Many times lyrics are included. I would expect a picture of the front and back cover of the album. Most of the info from this app is already available in the Apple music app, so I don’t understand the point. Show more

To access liner notes, you can tie it to Apple Music or Spotify. But woe to the person who actually purchases and downoads music from iTunes—that is not an option. Which is why I purchased this in the first place—to access liner notes for albums I had purchassd. Show more

Was a great app but it seems like it’s not going to work again.

No database that seeks to provide information on tracks, liner notes etc. is going to be complete because the universe of albums being dealt with is so fast. However I have found this app to be really useful in so many cases. I used to have a very large CD collection which I ripped to a CD jukebox. That’s great in terms of storage and convenience, but no liner note type information was included in the files that got ripped. So I actually use this app in conjunction with the jukebox. As a listener of contemporary Christian music, there are a LOT of songs and albums this app doesn’t know. Many entries have nothing more than what Apple Music has. We listeners are a huge genre of lots of awesome music from Crowder to Needtobreathe to Chris Tomlin and TobyMac and I hope they include more on all of these genre artists. Content developers, Klove radio or The Message on Sirius XM is a place to start with what they’re streaming! Show more
