I don’t know what the plan was for this update but the app is basically useless now. The interface is not intuitive at all. Can’t find how to change the input or volume. All I have been able to use it for is turning the receiver on and off. Show more

Bring it back. I would like the same ability to view my MCACC Pro settings and values.

The new update crashes more than the previous version. More importantly I can’t controls the volume. Turning the dial results it it going back to where it was before.

No sound from zone 2. Volume control doesn’t stay where set, returns to infinity.

I didn’t think the app could get worse, but low and behold the latest UI refresh proved me wrong. Big blank screen with power button in the middle ? I have to hit a button to get a volume knob to pop then scroll that left and right to change the volume…come on? Go look at first pioneer receiver app and just copy that please ! Show more

Cannot connect with my Pioneer A/V receiver since the update. Used to work just fine. Wish i could go back to the earlier version.

I’m not sure what the most current update broke but this app no longer works!! I’ve tried EVERYTHING! It worked last week now my Apple Music doesn’t show the receiver any more! ?‍♂️ I’ve got a VSX-LX305! HELP! Show more

Please address the issue that PANDORA take 30 seconds to 1 min to load! This a regressive issue with the new app. I choose NET > Pandora and 1 min later Pandora playlist loads. C’mon guys—- please address this. Show more

The developers refuse to update the app so that the EQ settings can be saved which wouldn’t matter anyway because on most days the app isn’t even working.

Forced to update to latest version on new iPhone 14. New version just hangs. Can’t navigate and have to close the app. Old app was a bit glitchy, but this just doesn’t work. Show more

Thanks for finally updating this app. The old one was horrible and rarely worked now if we could just get Spotify to work.

It’s great for the simple fact that it gives you an extra equalizer for all bands on top of the custom one. Really useful for a quick EQ if needed. But for some reason it doesn’t show in any of my home screens even though the option is selected, and deselecting it and reselecting doesn’t change that. Show more

I recent purchased a SC-LX704 pioneer AV Receiver, after my 10 year old one died. Expensive, but I liked the amp and it would be easy to swap into my system since it had all the same inputs and outputs. The bad news was that Onkyo purchased the Pioneer home electronics line, so now it is built by Onkyo. They removed several wonderful software features in the receiver, and also replaced the Pioneer App with this one, which is a two or three steps down from the previous Pioneer (made) App. This isn’t hard Onkyo, step up! This app works great! Very short response time and cool features including showing album covers on your phone and access to all settings of the receiver. I do have my receiver plugged directly in via Ethernet so maybe try that if it’s lagging for you? Show more

Pay attention. Smart Sync is what you want for the car radio.

App worked great for 8 years , since the recent update my receiver no longer connects to the app. Please fix

I love this app already. I can control my amp from anywhere in the house. And if i have other zones i can control those also. You can change the levels of all of your speaker’s, what more could you ask for? Show more

Just tells you to lower volume. You lower level and still does not work.

This app has a bit confusing if a UI when it works, but unfortunately it must have some really messed up networking. When I enter the IP of my VSX-LX503 receiver into my browser, it takes me to the browser-accessible setting page like expected. However, entering the same IP address into the app leads to an immediate error response. As usual in Pioneer apps, the error is completely unhelpful message titled “Cannot connect network device” with “Please check power and network connection” in the details. If you search around to try to fix this, you’ll find that there isn’t really any details on how the app works. What port does it use? Which protocol? etc. So, even troubleshooting this will basically requiring reverse engineering their application. Show more

App doesn’t work. How hard can it be to maintain an app that is required for full functionality? If the AV product is purchased, Pioneer owes it to its customers to maintain it. Show more
