Awesome App, but afraid it’s abandoned
This is the coolest music app I have found, but I’m afraid it might be abandoned now. Hopefully this will get a response from the developer, I’d love to see continued work on this app, there is nothing else like it Show more

    Meh
    Not so much.

    Dumb and Lazy
Every other app maker on the planet is smart enough to let you actually play the instrument before requiring you to put in a 15 letter/number password. If I cannot try the thing without putting in my password, I have no idea if this app is something I will actually like. Not going to put in a long password and sign up for a subscription before playing it. End of story! Show more

Looks cool but paywall blocked me from trying
And I am not down with 7 day trial tethered to my credit card. It’s 2022. Even PS5 is adding not strings attached game demos.

    Are you kidding me??
Im was very exited to make finally make beats for free on this app, as soon as I open the app, it tells me to for a free trial THEN pay for something. Now I have to find another free beat app as I'm deleting this. Show more

    Mind boggling
This is not an XOX sequencer—it allows you to create a dynamic, musical ecosystem that responds to touch in amazing ways. It rewards both careful planning and intuitive exploration.

    Incredible App
I’m not sure if there is anything else like this on the App Store. I use it for composing a variety of types of music as well as control a number of different devices. Great job Dev! Show more

    Cool App But Complicated
I got this app when it was listed on sale for free on AppRaven. I signed up for the free trial. It was very cool, but complicated and counterintuitive for a beginner. I feel sure that this app is probably great for a professional who knows what they’re doing. Show more

    Ohh, Kay...
If you LOVE piano, this is the app for you. I had the distinct impression that it had other instruments.

Could have been a great app
But instead it just crashes when hit the midi controls in the settings which make unusable with any other app, daw, or instrument !

    Combines Live/sequenced Control
Gestrument Pro gives you a lot of control over all aspects of the instruments whether they’re internal sounds or using its MIDI output to control other synth apps or MIDI hardware. There are a wide variety of available scales, you can import your own scala files, or even use MIDI to create sequences which are activated as you move across the surface. It’s one of the music apps that take advantage of what a mobile touch surface device has to offer. There are plenty of demonstration presets you can use to learn more about the possibilities the app has to offer as well as built-in help describing all aspects of the app. The latest update adds even more control options. Deceptive marketing
This app was pitched as”free” on giveawatofthe day.com. When you open the dowloaded app, it’s a choice of monthly subscription or a large fixed fee for permanent access. The only thing that is free is the 7 day trial period, which you apparent get even without the giveaway promotion. To get the 7 day trial, you must authorize the monthly charge in the Apple Store, then cancel. I messed around with the app for 15 minutes and quickly decided it wasn’t worth paying for. I canceled.... Show more

Thanks for explaining the pricing policy in the App Store description, NOT. Not paying $19 for an unknown concept. Not subscribing (hopeless concept) to an unknown concept.

    FANTASTIC!
Saw Doug, at the Soundtest Room use this and it was excellent! One can create the BM3 roll generator with velocity easily and use it to drive other samplers. For generative, random, and probability sequences it is excellent as well. Kudos to this developer, an amazingly deep and useful, creative app! Show more

    Crazy good.
I’m completely puzzled why this app is not being mentioned all the time and does not get more popular. This app is an absolute dream come true, it’s capabilities are insane. There’s too much to mention here, you just have to experience it yourself. All is working perfectly smoothly and the app is surprisingly intuitive. I can’t find a single bug aside from the User Manual getting stuck open on the iPad. I do hear the pops that another reviewer mentioned and hope that this will be resolved. ***Update*** I just wanted to say that I keep being amazed by this app. It’s been truly a joy to use. It keeps surprising me. One feature I’d love to see being added is the ability to display note length / rates divisions at the top of the screen at all times. As it is now, they are not visible when the playing area is maximized, only when parameters of the instruments are displayed. It makes sense, I understand that there’s a conflict in displaying it at all time because when there are multiple cursors there may be multiple ways the playing area is split into note length columns, especially that touching multiple cursors is possible. Maybe then the ranges could be displayed in different colors corresponding to the given cursor or maybe the ranges are displayed only when only one cursor is playing? Show more
