I had to reinstall because it wasn’t working right after the update and now after logging back in all my saved songs are gone. I’m a premium account holder what exactly am I paying for if the songs that I saved just disappear. I’m very upset about this especially when I’ve been recommending this app to other musicians. It’s too bad that such an outstanding AI music generator has slipped into the old money-sucking subscription model, preying on forgetful consumers instead of giving customers an option to pay an up front price if they would like. I, and I think many others, would gladly pay up to $25 or even $30 one time to use this service but Songen allows no such option. And unfortunately this company will loose some business due to that, but I’m sure someone else will subscribe and forget, and so Songen will just make their money that way. Show more

So I love this app a lot and I got the monthly subscription but I feel like there is not enough to work with. Please add more synths, bass, and drums. I think there should be a second or even third version of the drill drums and bass. Just add the same instruments again but change them a little so you can pick the best one out of all the bells for example. Thank you for reading have a good day guys :) Show more

I am an amateur composer and often struggle with coming up with a unique chord progression and beat. This app is perfect for that and I have based at lest 10 songs off MIDI’s from this. This is app is awesome, but I do wish you could get a little bit more out of the free version. Like maybe you get unlimited songs and like 20 exports, but you only have 5 genres that you get to pick from, that you select when you first open the app. Otherwise, this is definitely a five star app, and works perfectly other than a few times where a dissonant chord progression is created. Overall, Great job and I can’t wait to see how this app grows in the future :) Show more

Not sure why

It started off free, then you got 3 free exports. Then you got only 10 free songs generated. And now only 5. This is just gonna be a paid app at one point. They need to give 3 daily free exports at least cuz this is driving me crazy. Great app though Show more

Amazing app! I love the ability to mix and match genres however I sometimes can’t create the exact genre that I want and end up with something very 1 sided or a melody with a out of key lead. If there was a slider for the percentage (out of 100%total) that could control how much influence each genre had that would be amazing. Another suggestion would be to add sub genres like underground, virtual, rage, ethnic, Detroit, ethereal, pluggnb, jersey club, as they are what make up of most popular music now. Lastly I suggest an option to mass export as I find a lot of variations that I like and would like to mass export midis to dropbox! Thank you guys for the amazing tool! Show more

1. A performance mode, maybe disabling the scrolling pattern in the background will drastically improve performance, right now it’s very sluggish on my iPhone 13. I’m only one generation behind and my phone is slugging through when I’m sandboxing different sounds together. 2. A way to alter the chord progression for the current track and hear it play back with the change. That would definitely help a lot of those songs that are slightly off and would be perfect if it were not for some random chord that throws it off. 3. Genre Ideas (I submit these every time I review but don’t know if you’ve seen them, so I’m including the ones that occurred to me:) Middle Eastern, Jungle, Funk, Heavy Metal, Folk, Early 2000s Pop. This app needs more attention…a lot of the generated material is good enough to just listen to let alone turn into songs

I’ve tried generated music and this, by far is the best one I’ve tried, It doesn’t seem like ai based on the generated music. Seriously this is amazing!

Ever since I upgraded to iOS 16, all MIDI files I have exported have been corrupted and unreadable. They updated the app the other day, but somehow overlooked this obvious error. It needs to get fixed ASAP. I got a good 150-200 unreadable MIDIs now. I’ve been a subscriber for a year now, never had such a major issue. Works fine on my iPad that did not update though. I’ll comeback and change this review once the issue is fixed, only if it’s fixed by the end of the week though. Really unacceptable for paying subscribers. This has been going on for 2 weeks now, that’s half a month’s subscription wasted. Show more

I can’t believe this app is as underrated as it is, it’s fantastic, it was exactly what I was looking for, an app that can generate songs for you and you can alter them to an extent. One thing I’d like to see is maybe the addition of more instruments and sounds. Otherwise it’s a great app that I will be recommending to people. Show more

The midi files generated are unusable on iOS 16 after export Ableton can’t open them

I’m blown away by this technology and really enjoy both the intuitive nature of the user interface and the quality of the generated songs (not to mention how well the included genres are represented). With all of that glowing feedback, how is this only a 4 star review? Well unless I’ve completely lost my mind, due to one of the most recent updates, I’ve lost the ability to change a song from a minor key to a major key — the app seems to be permanently locked to minor (unless there’s some very obvious setting or parameter I’m missing). A very bizarre bug in an otherwise brilliant app. Show more
