    Great
So happy Kemper made an iPhone app. Extremely convenient to switch rigs in performance mode from my couch while jamming with my kemper on the other side of the room. Way easier interface than the physical box and nice to not have to plug in a computer. Main feature request: switch from performance to browser and back within the app Show more

    Promising, but not quite there
For starters, I love Kemper. It sounds amazing and has made being a working musician so much easier. And Rig Manager on a computer makes setting up rigs/performances a breeze. So when I saw the iOS app, I got really excited. I have it on both my iPhone and iPad, and my iPhone straight up doesn’t connect to my Profiler Stage. It says “Connecting” for half a second, then goes right back to “Connect.” It’s pretty frustrating, especially considering just how much easier it is to edit from Rig Manager instead of the Stage itself. The iPad app works great, and I really like how the touchscreen compliments my workflow. But, as others have said, it would be really nice to have the option to browse through my profiles loaded on my Stage. Show more

    App Works
The App does and delivers what it was meant to be, a quick editor.

Wish it connected via Bluetooth rather than WiFi
I really need my phone to have internet access during rehearsals so I can access tracks, YouTube, etc. Does Kemper hardware have Bluetooth in there somewhere?

    Needs work
Won’t connect in access point mode- only Wi-Fi. Still needs work to use all features supposedly supported.

    Smooth set up and performance
This app works great, totally unlike the pc app, which I have to constantly reinstall. There is some ancient version still on my oc somewhere, and for some reason, that creates conflicts with the updated version. I can’t find or remove the old version. It would be great if this app also had the capability to let you browse through your rigs, if it did, then I would never have to use the ridiculous pc app again. Show more

    Just way to complicated
And impractical for me. Should allow for a UBS Bluetooth key that you can plug in an just use. While the basic kemper is pretty straight forward, the editor is a disaster. They should scrap it and start over and look to AxeEdit for how an editor should work. Show more

    This app is a disaster
This app should be removed from the App Store until it is ready for prime time. It’s useless. Unresponsive after connecting to a brand new iPad (9th gen) running iOS 15 on the network. Touch one menu item and it locks up or freezes, forcing me to reboot the app. Unable to even change the amplifier type or anything else. If I couldn’t do better than this I would quit. Just glad I didn’t pay for this. Let me know when you are serious. Show more

    App works great but……..
Works great but if you reset your router you will have to redo the WPS connect process.

Really good initial version - huge potential
After installing this and connecting my KPA to my router, my iPad found and connected immediately. No issues whatsoever. Editing just about anything works great. There is one major thing missing though - the ‘explorer’ Iike view provided in the desktop version of Rig Manager. At this point, the only way I see to change rigs is to literally hit the next or previous buttons. On a devices with thousands of rigs, to say this is tedious is an understatement. Changing effects and effects blocks works great but not so much for amps. I only get a handful of options for ‘amp presets’. These are clearly made up of presets saved in the presets on the KPA. Great! So I created a few new ones and stored them in the ‘All Presets - MyProfiler’ folder. They show up as amp presets in the desktop version but not the iOS version :(. This is a big deal. For this to be truly useful, I need to be able to get to different amps. I’m willing to create presets for the amps that are important to me but that doesn’t seem to work at this point. I thought this might be some kind of refresh issue so I closed the iOS editor and restarted. The new amp presets still don’t show. This is a REALLY good start but isn’t truly useful to me yet. I can turn any knob and scroll through rigs but I really need to be able to build rigs. Given that this is version 1.0.0, I have no doubt this will be addressed and I can’t wait. Show more

    Kemper keeps getting better!
Thank you guys! I appreciate the continued advancements and functionality to the Kemper, including this iPad app. Works great so far for my needs and is a huge upgrade to the unit! Now I don’t have to sit by the computer/ kemper to tweak things! Thanks again! Show more

A little early to review but…
So far so good. I have edited and saved all sorts of settings with no issues. No connection issues so far. Connecting was super easy using the QR code for direct connection, as well as connecting through a LAN using WPS to connect the Kemper to my router. Easy as pie. Only thing missing is the ability to fully manage rigs. Being a touch interface and through WiFi, this could be superior to Rig manager on the Mac so I would love to use this as my primary Kemper manager. It’s somewhat unfortunate that the ability to manage your rigs is so limited. All this being said I’m very grateful that Kemper has made this. So useful!! Show more

    IOS app works just fine.
The other reviewer seems to really hate Kemper Profilers. According to the Manual Addendum 8.5, the Kemper Stage supports direct and secure wi-fi connection for practice and venue situations and connection via WPS in non venue situations (like at home or trusted networks). Personally my network is not WPS enabled. Direct iPad connections seem the most likely method for me. Since I can connect my Mac directly via USB in the studio or at home, the iPad connection is exactly what I need for gigging. Seriously, if you’re that worried about someone hacking your Kemper profiler to steal your profiles you’re probably better off with a tube amp or an acoustic guitar. Or maybe a Pod Pocket. And let’s face it. This isn’t about the hardware. It’s about the iOS app. It works like it should. And works great. Show more
