Are you kidding me?? MRX1140 is not supported???
I just bought the MRX1140 almost $4400 after tax. Hook it up, told to download iOS app in Quick start guide. THIS IS THE SECIND APP THAT DOESNT WORK WITH MRX1140!!!! ARE YOU REALLY KIDDING ME???? the 1140 is the update to the 1120 that came out in 2015, yet no support for my brand new AVR. Rediculous. Show more

Doesn’t work needs to be updated
I’m trying to use the app (Feb 2021) with my ML Verse sound bar and iPhone 12 pro max. The app initializes but fails when taking the first reading giving the message “excessive noise.” There’s no noise. Just an old app that doesn’t work. Show more

Time to get back to my receiver
What a absolute disappointment this anthem ordeal has been to me. They clearly are baby stepping it into the world of avr. The app is a hit and miss, my mic worked 2 times on my laptop. Then stopped recognizing the mic, so used the app on my phone. Which is “so so “ but did the trick Now half way in measuring .. drops a error and pops me out of the app. I will steer away from anthem products hence forward, it’s not worth all the hassles I’ve been through. Will not connect
Why can’t anthem just license apps from denon or Sony along with equipment firmware and features software. You guys are trying but not succeeding. The arc should be be simple on the app and using a mic but that’s not the case. Please contact denon to make life easier for your customers. Anthem should stick what they do best is sound and outsource all wifi, streaming, usb input flexibility and the rest. As a longtime customer I would appreciate that you catch up to the modern WiFi and internet age. Show more

Works great for me. Used several times.
Since I don’t have a Windows PC, I borrowed a friends to use the ARC software initially. It worked great after we figured out some network issues. Now that the iOS app is available, it has worked great for me on the iPhone X. I just plug a live Ethernet cable into my MRX receiver, turn it on, and run the app. Had some issues originally (excesses background noise message) but these went away after I cleaned some debris from the Mic port on the iPhone. Probably not as accurate as using the calibrated mic, but seems to give me good results. Used after changing my sub and adding audio panels. Worked flawlessly each time. Show more

Worked first time no issues, but accurate?
Hooked up my new 1120 and had no issues getting the ARC app to sync and go through calibration functions. This was a must because like many we don’t have any Windows computers laying about. Two issues: I can’t figure out how to view the corrected graph for my room (probably isn’t in the app) and second, I’m not entirely sure my phones microphone is the most accuracy device in the world for this job. The kit didn’t come with an adapter to plug into my phone (an adapter would be a lot cheaper than the included tripod), and almost everyone has a smartphone. Maybe that’s what comes next. I’m looking forward to Genesis in April so I can rerun this with the calibrated microphone from my Mac. Show more

    Ok!
Worked fine once I had the home wired internet connected to receiver. Found receiver and ran all the tests for 5 positions. Can’t find anywhere whether it is supposed to be specific where each seating position in room should be or simply most often. Show more

    Another “critical error”
The test tone players through the first 4 speakers and will not play through the 5th. Useless. I spent $2500 on an amp with the promise that this would work as I don’t have windows to run the included software. It will go back. I’m sure I can find better support from someone else at this price point. Show more

    Another dissatisfied customer..
I,too, can’t get through a setup without fatal problems. It will get through the front three speakers, then ask to point the device toward the right rear, it starts that measurement, but fails every time. Excessive background noise and low volume are the reasons it gives, even when I’m sitting in a quiet room, and the test tones are very loud. Anthem receivers are quite expensive, it’s a shame that this software is the best that they can offer for room correction, and they won’t make an app for Apple computers. Show more

    Excellent!!!
I do not know what the other reviewers are talking about! This app worked like a charm. I was finished in less then 5 minutes. My Martin Logan dynamo600X is only 3 days old so I’m not sure whether the room correction makes an audible difference but as far as ease of use it was smooth as butter. Show more

    Doesn't work!
What a piece of crap! Don't waste you time on this. I'm alone in the house; nothing else running, yet I get an error saying "excessive background noise". Seriously?

Started to work, never made it through.
App seems to work fine, but while measuring the third listening position, always has an error for me, loses connection to the MRX, and the test time just keeps going until I restart the ARC or shut the unit off. The Windows desktop app worked fine, but not everyone has a Windows machine/laptop laying around to use. Still enjoying getting to know the MRX, but this app, as reviewed by others, is a good idea but was worthless to me. Show more

    Doesn't work
Tried this app with multiple iOS devices (iPhone 6 & 7 and iPad) and it just will not work. Contacted Anthem support and they. Told me to get a Windows computer. Go figure. Show more

    Worked perfect on 1120
    No issues. Instantly synced! Perfect.

App works fine on my iPhone 6S
Don’t know what other reviewer’s problem is; work fine using my phone’s mics.

    So disappointed
It’s 2018. Anthem is advertising iOS features on its products while at the same time not ACTUALLY offering apple support. There is no cable provided in the ARC kit that allows you to plug the calibrated microphone into your iOS device as the app instructs you to do. Go ahead and try to use your internal mic and the app crashes every time! “Critical Error” Arc could not complete measuring due to a critical audio problem. This is top of the line equipment! Someone over there is dropping the ball in a major way! Show more
