I am extremely new to learning how to play a guitar, I have no prior experience nor knowledge. My main issue is learning how to tune my guitar. When I use the tuner assistance within the app, all of the chords are incorrectly displayed on the tuner page. When I strike e (the smallest string) the chord B shows up. I am unsure as to why this is happening, It’s not my sound quality because I’m in a relatively quiet area. (Sorry for any incorrect guitar grammar, like I said, I am very new.) Show more

I really like this app. It works well on my iPhone, but strangely needs to be removed and reinstalled every time I use it on my iPad. iPad runs all other apps fine. Annoying as my aging eyes need the larger screen. Any suggestions Gibson? Show more

iPhone 13 Pro with iOS 16.1.2 The app is great, but the lag that happens every time I earn a star (and sometimes other seemingly random times) really throws me off. I’m only on the “Two Frets” section and loving the app, but the lag happens every time on every song I play. I’m going to keep using the app, but unsure if I will continue after my trial ends. Right now the lag isn’t a big deal as I’m just starting, but I know once more advanced techniques are introduced the lag will really throw me off. Please work on a fix for this as I love the layout and the way the app works and would like to stick with this app rather than another similar app. Show more

This app lags HORRIBLY to the point that it says I miss every note. I have a brand new phone with gigabit internet, I even quit all my apps and restarted my phone so absolutely nothing else was running. This app still lags like crazy and won’t let me advance to the next lesson. I couldn’t even get past the second lesson. What a terrible experience. Show more

The app just won’t recognize when I play chords which makes it pretty much useless

The feedback on some notes and chords is just wrong. The app should offer feedback on chords played in the practice sections but does not (how do you know if you’re practicing correctly?) this could be great but not yet Show more

Ive been wanting to play guitar for a while now and this is the only app that hasn't been too confusing off of the start and isn't bugged.

seems like it could be an interesting "Guitar Hero" approach. I tried the initial lessons without a subscription. Every time you hit a streak of notes, the graphics lag (but the audio is uninterrupted) while it processes the cool image it's trying to show. Since you're relying on the steady flow of the notes to gauge the rhythm, this makes it pretty much useless (at least on my iPhone 12 Pro). Thought I might have better luck on my M1 MacBook Pro... it won't even recognize that I have headphones connected. It's a no from me. Show more

The learning process and videos are great. Maybe it’s just on mine (I didn’t spring for the Irig yet I’m using a similar device) but sound is great in lessons and learning but in the tuner I can’t hear anything it just tells me if I’m in range or not. And in the amp I get almost no sound. Show more

Great app but I think they should add eye of the tiger seven nation army and do streaks and if you get all 3 you win a free guitar

Very nice dynamic environment, but it’s only good to get your feet wet if you’re a total beginner. I’m beginner-intermediate and I found it lacking. Wish there was more theory with triad workouts, scales, arpeggios, etc. The note detection is also faulty when it comes to chords no matter how clean of a tone. Could not justify the membership. I’ve played guitar for years but I’m looking to improve. This app lag every time I use it. It also shows that I’ve hit notes too high … in open strings. Most frustrating experience ever. Bye bye Gibson. Show more

This app is ABSOLUTELY amazing! I had piano lessons as a kid, so i “kinda” understand music, notes and how to read it.. but i could never learn guitar…. UNTIL NOW!!! I’m a month in, and my friends enjoy seeing my progress! Show more

Best app ever made

First of all there is no need for this to be an annual subscription. Next if you know how to play at all don’t waste your time. It is at an infintal level. Also you cannot hear yourself during a lesson. It’s a little like guitar hero. I would like my money back Gibson! Show more

I really liked this app until I got to the Power Chord lessons. The app was extremely erratic registering when the correct chord was played. It just proved too unreliable.
